This will no doubt have been answered before, but...
I stopped using Zwift ago because of their extortionate pricing. It's now dark(er) and cold(er), so reluctantly will be getting back on the turbo.
I have an Elemnt head unit. Where can I find free workouts that I can then load on to the head unit so that I can control the trainer from the unit?
I've looked at Trainer Road and Training Days, but the functionality seems limited unless you pay. I basically want a repository of workout files, nothing more, but not sure if that exists?

give it to the IT department for them to isolate and run whatever forensics tools they have
I wonder if the IT department will be in a position to run forensics if they can't even do the basics like locking down a computer so its users can't install random third party software. 😄

Maybe they know, have been denied the controls they want for whatever reason and would quite like the ammo for next time they ask?

I recently had something similar, my details were deregistered from the server and had to get it reinstated.
I note you mentioned it's not your ID and it could well be a malware attack as others have suggested, send it to IT.

Shock pumps. I want to upgrade to a digital one for more detailed readout. Do I need to spend or will the cheapest one do..

I've got some old brake levers that a chap in Rhode Island wants to buy. Does anyone know a good company to send them with? Parcel Farce etc. Weight about 200g. I can then investigate the cost. Thx

What would happen if I took a lamp designed to work with a hub dynamo that puts out 6v and 3w and connect it to the dynamo on my motorbike that puts out 6v and something more like 30 or 60w?
-
• #124034
EDIT: sorry, I think I got that the wrong way round.
The dynamo should still only pull 3w.
-
• #124035
I'd need to use a resistor to reduce the wattage then?
-
• #124036
I edited my response, sorry for confusion - lots of clued up sparkies on here though.

Yeah or a regulator. You’ll burn the light out otherwise.
-
• #124038
Depends what "6V" actually means on your motorbike.
If it's a got a battery with a regulator then that should be ok. If it's more like a scooter engine with a magneto on the flywheel and a "6V" feed designed to feed a filament lamp then the voltage may be much higher if you only attach a smaller load and damage the headlight.

Probably liable by the letter of the law, but I think you have to weigh up, really, what are the chances of a car with Enterprise stickers stuck all over it getting nicked? Near zero.
Hire companies are like any other company: they advertise cripplingly low prices and then desperately try to claw back their margins by ‘offering’ value-added options which are little more than clever psychological tricks to worry people into coughing up. If everyone took the base price and didn’t pay up for the options, they’d be fucked. Simple as that.

A simple dynamo (without any extra electronic magic) is a constant current device.
Simple bicycle dynamos will put out 0.5A and it is the voltage that is (roughly) proportional to speed. Therefore the power they draw is also proportional to speed but it is usually in the 3-6W range for normal human bicycle speeds.
Using a simple bicycle dynamo at motorbike speeds would just mean higher voltages (and therefore more power) and more likely to blow whatever is connected to it.
If the dynamo (or whatever is connected to it) has some internal electrical magic (regulator, over-voltage protection, etc) it there may still be a problem if that stuff isn't rated to cope with much higher voltages from motorbike type speeds. My old SON/Solidlights combo could cope with 45mph downhills on the bike, but may not have coped with 70mph.
If this is a different type of dynamo (it's not clear from the description) then who knows. My guess is that the lamp in question would quickly let out the magic smoke.

Does anyone know a good company to send them with?
Royal Mail, not Porcel Farce. They're cheap, and more important the delivery will be by USPS, which is likely to be much better for the recipient than any of the alternatives. £11.70 on the app for 250g to the contiguous states, might be slightly different if you take it to your local post office.

Would it be safe to mount a 2.4" to a 60mm internal rim.
No use case. Just procrastinating.

Thanks, I really wouldn't feel comfortable inflicting him with Evri.

i have this backpack and the male side of chest strap buckle is missing; what is the best way to get one added? where does one buy these buckles?

First stop would probably be the manufacturer of the backpack. That one doesn't look like a generic buckle.

where does one buy these buckles?
Google image search to get you to the alix or ebay seller.

Possibly ask on the offroad thread. I’d be interested to see the responses too

Is that a slingshot?
Most common motor insurance policies would indemnify the policy holder from such a loss.
