That should be a hidden rule.
No Giant human Jeep retrieval.
Only RC 🤣

People do indeed. Personally I can't be arsed with the faff of a scale winch. It's easier to just pick it up.

Excellent morning. Rode over to cheddar gorge which is absolutely full of crawling spots.
Put a few more scratches on the tracker with my ham fisted driving.

Is that the bridleway that starts on RHS at top of cheddar gorge?

It was the top of gospel pass a few weeks ago.

Mentioned before my CC02, more of a trail car, but had a number of upgrades to allow some light crawling.
Absima 35t motor and matching crawler ESC
Metal prop shafts front a rear
Axle mounted servo, using 3d printed part
Alloy servo arm
Alloy mounts for arms
I've locked rear diff only at present.
Soft injora tyres
Injora beadlock rims.

My sons Christmas present car arrived yesterday. Supposedly used twice, but is absolutely mint. At £83 posted, I'm very happy!
Got some new decals coming, will print him some license plates and add an aerial with a flag.

He'll love that!

Hopefully! I'm tempted to put some heavy negative offset wheels on to help the stability for him.
My christmas present to myself is a bigger version...

These people are pushing RC into something completely crazy. Can use them globally apparently. Mixture of crawling, racing but with feedback and fpv

A lot of thought gone into that

Just booked a holiday to lanzarote. Added an extra bag so I can take a car or two. Plenty of volcanic rock to climb on

Feels like we should potentially merge this thread with the Tamiya one, call it "RC" or something.
Anyway, I've just grabbed a second hand HPI Sprint 1, to do a full nut and bolt restoration. Everything through the parts washer, TI screws etc.

What make is this one?
Been looking to get my boy a cheap crawler for his birthday. He will be 7 but just looking at basic stuff we can both enjoy, maybe make some routes in the house.
What would be a good one? I have been looking at WPL. Would the cheaper ones be robust enough?
Any good ones to look out for secondhand?
Cheers
Please tell me you do this in groups and tow each other out when stuck.
