  • I guess this is handy for the school run

  • Ironic that the prick who owns it has parked in a disabled bay as if they have mobility problems I’d love to see how they transfer in/out of it…
I see the blue badge is there too…?

  • Deserves a ticket for parking outside of the parking bay tbh.

  • I know someone with a blue badge, he runs marathons and mountain climbs on his good days, is bed ridden on his bad ones. He doesn’t drive an urban assault vehicle though.

  • Many perfectly able people have blue badges as they are the registered carers for people with limited mobility, but they're only supposed to use the blue badge when appropriate/necessary - many people take the piss with them.

  • Yes, it's a lovely leather low level parcel shelf

  • There's also a big black market for them. Vast majority of smashed car windows round me are due to people breaking the window to nick the blue badge.

  • I’m an Occupational Therapist by profession and that’s why I’m intrigued as to how the person who has the blue badge gets in/out of the vehicle. Just curious..,
    Car is shit though

  • I know of a building contractor who has a blue badge on his van. No idea how that works.

  • it's hilarious on several levels. this is in leyton ffs.

  • Ironic that the prick who owns it has parked in a disabled bay as if they have mobility problems

I'd have thought his afflictions were surely more likely to be visual impairment related...

  • A month or so back I had a 1mph collision (my own stupid fault), the only real damage was a cracked front bumper. After protracted arguments with my insurer, who wanted me to use their pet repair shop, they relented. Thanks to a thoroughly unprincipled body shop in Hastings, who I have used before and will again, my excess was saved. Not only that, but a few other minor scuffs that needed paint and an irritating thumbnail sized dent disappeared as if by magic.

Behold, a nearly 20 year old Z4 looking like new!

  • I hadn't appreciated how rare the 3.0 E85s were when you first started posting about yours! Lovely to see it still going strong and looking fresh. I took my z out for a few errands today, spent most of the trip largely thinking how stupid it is.

  • Of course they're stupid, that's the point, but they're stupid fun with a decent sized boot. Yours looks great, but for all the increased sophistication and superior interior I would rather have mine. I would like to say for the wind in my hair, however...

  • Would you rather the car or the hair?

  • I prefer my car, for no really valid reason AND it's worth less. As to the hair, or lack thereof, gone at 21 and never missed it. In fact, the money saved on hairdressers and ancillary products would more than pay for the Z4, plus I don't have to speak to an idiot while he makes me look slightly worse at least once a month.

  • is the interior any different between the coupes and the convertibles? apart from having a roof over it, obviously, and missing a button in front of the ash tray. I'd assumed they were largely identical internally.

  • I’m surprised the insurer didn’t just try and write it off tbh. Anything over 10 years old they will try to usually.

  • Surprised to be reminded that those Z4s are 20 years old. I guess maybe that's not that long in terms of car styling but they've aged really well, preferable to the modern versions.

I saw a guy in a Z3 out and about with the roof down the other day. I remember them being everywhere when they were released but I've not seen one for a while, looked like he was having a blast in it.

  • In terms of BMW styling it is alas ancient history 😔

  • Thankfully they've fired their current designer which hopefully means a reset in a few years. Current lineup is fucking horrid.

  • You can say that again. Pig nosed monstrosities.

  • A near neighbour has one of these. It gets more vomity the more you see it..

  • I still like the description 'like a beaver fucked an orthopaedic shoe' for current BMW designs.

@6pt, your coupe is so immaculate I thought it was a later model! Yes, same interior.

@christianSpaceman, you won't see many Z3s in the wild because they're notorious for terminal tinworm.

  • Are the z3 rust issues that bad?
