I seem to think there was a child "seat" that was just a bar attachment to support the feet of kids as they ride shotgun?
Anyone know what/where I've seen this? Reckon it'd be perfect for the odd occasion (like yesterday!) I had to pick up one of the kids and then ride back to a train station because driving is too annoying in peak traffic.

Not too sure what you mean but this one is attached only via the stem.

My suspicion with the G is that once the buzz has died down, I think in reality it'll be quite a niche product. Because of the weight and size, I doubt that many people will buy one, once they've had a go on a normal Brompton - which is heavy enough as it is.

Bang for buck, which set up is best if I was to go down converting my existing Brompton to a disc brake one?

You have ti forks and rear triangle though? Would mean losing those, no?

Was it the Pere - https://www.valeriasbikeaccessories.com/en/brompton-corner/86-pere-.html

Intriguingly in the Kinetics gallery there's a build where he manged to adjust a rear ti- triangle enough to accomodated an alfine hub, discs might be a stretch. You could have a crazy hybrid to get the power of discs on the front where you want them most

Yeah, was thinking to go with kinetics forks than aliexpress ti forks.

Kinetics is for the front only? Or do they assume you have your own rear triange for rear discs too?
Re: the baby seat, I mean like a simple horizontal bar with foot grips that goes on the Brompton 'top' tube. Pretty sure I've seen these, unless they're some custom jobby.

That’s great to hear! Does it have one of those attachment systems that allow the seat to be removed and re-attached easily? Could you tell me the brand and model to do a bit more research 🧐

To give HoKe a hand: it’s a Bobike, and it is removeable.

Apologise for my previous question was not clear, but in terms of hubs and brakes which would be the best combo (not interested in dynamo hubs)

Tbh, as the hype has gone the bike is basically cheaper than this frameset.

To be fair if cyclescheme went away it would pretty much nuke the entire bike industry in the UK

If not too late, I went Spyre cable disk and really like it. Dual piston caliper rather than one fixed like the BB7s make a load of difference. I have small hands and find the Brompton brake leavers really comfortable but YMMV on that. Never felt under braked and (for me) it feels pretty progressive especially vs BB7s which I have on a couple of other bikes, but not as progressive as the hopes on my cargo bike.

Push come to shove, would you choose the cable over hope hydro?
I guess with hydro as you said you need a complete different braking lever to suit your hands.

For a Brompton and the type of riding I do on it (ie commuting on roads of varying quality) yes for sure. Im still not 100% convinced that constant folding and unfolding of the bike won’t damage the hydraulic cables and I’d much rather have slightly damaged cables and housing that’ll get me home than a micro hole in a hydraulic line and no brakes. Appreciate its likely a moot point as they use hydraulics everywhere now but it would still bother me a little.

I’ve a kinetics converted Brompton with Hope brakes and they are pretty fierce. It took a bit of getting used to and easy to lock up the rear with the skinny tyres.
I would go cable I think (bought mine converted)
I think it is amazing to let your baby see what you’re seeing. Granted things to note:
