Another thumbs down for Nuud since the change to the new formula
-

Same. It’s not terrible, but the old one was much much better. This one seems to come “unmixed” and splurts out too much, and is generally crap. They added “squalane” or something, which sounds very skincare-industry-2020s and is evidently shit

But if you message them about it expressing dissatisfaction, they basically refund you right away.
I've messaged them, will see what they say

First email they replied with just a form email saying, "we hear you, we see you, you're valid, our new formula is great" but then refunded me when I asked for an actual response.

Nice one 👍

It's good but not great when paired with black t-shirts, I've recently switched to the Mitchum stick and enjoying it.
The "Ultimate" version is less sticky (no pun intended) than the usual solid sticks and is good with black/dark clothing. A bit dearer though. but does well for me.
Agree with the others about Nuud - Mrs c00ps has now gone off it for that reason.

Poor nuud. I emailed them about the new formula not working for my wife (I still have tue old one but she had wanted small tubes for travelling with and got the new one).
They responded with the stock email, my wife has told them they ought to revert to the old formula. I have also sent nuud a link to this thread as an example of their customers not being happy with the new version of their product.

This all reminds me when Nuun the electrolyte company hanged their formula and added sugar and lots of their customers jumped ship.

Nuun were great at the start yeah

I've still got enough old nuud left to last the year and more, if it's still this new formula when I've run out I'll probably look elsewhere judging how it's been received.

If anyone wants some of the old nuud I’ve got a couple of tubes, drop me a dm

I used Wild for a bit got sick of how much stuff ends up on your clothes. Salt of the Earth spray bottles are great tho.

I’ve been using this for a while now and fancy a change.

Preferably 5litres. I like these but sad to say I’m bored of it.

Do you have a local refill shop? Easier to try out smaller quantities and not get bored!

• #218
We did. It closed on Saturday.

Boo. We use a good one in Lee. But there are a couple of other places that do a bit of refill on the side even though it's not their main business (a posh deli, and a barber's).

If I was flush I could have bought it before it closed. They couldn’t find a buyer

What are people using since nuud fucked up their product with their new formula?
With nuud I had got down to only needing to soap my armpits and reapply every 3-4 weeks.
My wife has been using akt balm since she ran out of the old nuud and found the revised nuud useless. It’s been working for her.
However I tried akt the other day and it had stopped working in less than 24 hours, which was pretty unimpressive.

Anyone got a fussy referral code?

I told NUUD their new formula is terrible, see below.
TL:DR, Blame the French, and check the ingredients - they have a New New Formula which doesn’t have the squalane and so might be thicker again. I’ve just ordered some. Don’t think the code below will work twice though, but do try it
“Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on our new formula. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped.
We want to reassure you that the active ingredients responsible for Nuud's effectiveness have remained unchanged in both type and concentration. The significant change in the new formula lies in the carrier ingredients. Previously, these carriers were thicker, which made it easier for the cream to adhere to the skin. However, based on customer feedback—especially from our French market—we decided to make the carriers thinner.
This change wasn't about reducing costs; in fact, implementing such a change in an established logistics operation is quite expensive. The thinner carriers, as you noted, are more easily washed away during showering. To address this, we recommend gently rinsing your armpits with water rather than using soap, which helps the cream remain in place and maintain its effectiveness.
Since introducing this new formula, we've been closely listening to our customers’ feedback, and we’re currently running tests to thicken the formula again. We're working with short fatty acid chains as oily carriers to enhance durability while still allowing your skin to breathe. This process involves extensive testing and fine-tuning. While the majority of our customers find the new formula to be effective, we’re committed to continually improving our product to meet everyone's needs.
We’ve recently released a new and improved version of the Nuud formula you’ve always loved, available in our Smarter Pack | New Cream. However, this is not the final version. We're eager to hear your feedback on this pack so we can continue making improvements. Once we've hit the spot with the new formula, we plan to implement it across all our other packs as well.
To express our appreciation for your support and understanding, we’d like to offer you a 15% discount on your next order. Simply use the code NUUD_LOVES_DISCOUNT at checkout.”

I had the same response from them months ago. How about just tell the French to shave their armpits? Being a hairy person who can get a bit odorous I shave mine and have never had a problem applying the original nuud. New formula needs daily application - it just simply doesn’t work. I am considering trying their revised formula but it pisses me off to be beta testing their products at my own expense!
It's good but not great when paired with black t-shirts, I've recently switched to the Mitchum stick and enjoying it.
Also, the Mitchum roll-ons in Australia seem to be half the size of the ones in the UK, this is very fucking annoying. They last five fucking minutes.
