No, nor me - sorry. I thought the sword logo was familiar, but it wasn't what I thought it was.

No worries, I wasn't expecting a review. Just asking out of curiosity and also in order to source some more if they turn out to be awesome.

Why is there no canonical bar discussion thread? (Or am I being stupid?)
If anyone has used any of the Ergotec 'Trekking', 'Ladytown', or 'Climber' bars, can you post up some photos?

Does anyone have recommendations for door latches/mechanisms for a Victorian house which will be mounted on the surface of the doors?
Something like: https://ironmongeryplus.co.uk/from-the-anvil-83584-iron-right-hand-rim-lock-small.html
All of ours were removed so we are bulk-buying

That's very costly (tho it does appear to be a nice product). I suggest you try Ironmongery Direct.

Has anyone here managed to get a Chromecast to work without a WiFi network? I’m trying to cast from my iPhone using the iPhone’s 4G/5G and the Chromecast’s guest mode. I cannot get the two to talk though :/

What are people using to degrease their chains? I'm currently using Finish Line stuff but the can's running out and I was wondering if there's a better alternative.

Squirt bike cleaner, diluted and on a rag seems to work well.
Good question though - I’ve considered buying some carburettor cleaner from Halfords and giving that a go.

I use CitraClean citrus degreaser, it’s super concentrated and pours out like a gel, so I dilute and pop the chain and cassette into that in an old sweet tub

Carb cleaner works as an analog to disc brake cleaner IME but it’s more expensive for some reason (I swear it’s the same chemical, same recipe)
-
• #123612
That's the sort of thing I'm after I think, thank you!

Brake cleaner might contain Acetone Carb cleaner can’t contain anything that might damage rubber

Another chain related question. Are there any issues with running a quick link in a chain on a fixed gear? My fixie skidder days are behind me and I mostly use a brake to slow down, rather than backpedaling if that makes a fiery death any less likely.
-
• #123615
Not for me. Many years. Zero deaths.
Even had a bodged chain for a while with 2 quick links. Still. Zero deaths.
-
• #123616
Perfect, that's what I wanted to hear. It's so much easier cleaning a chain when it's not on the bike and I can't be arsed messing about with a chain breaker every time. Thanks!

To the people on here who know a thing or two about LEDs, is the LED broken and needs replacement or can I fix it without big hassle?
It is still glowing, yet not as strong as it should be (see other photo for reference)

Can anyone recommend a good source for good quality "one-off" multi-colour vinyl stickers. Somewhere between A4 and A5 sized. I've been offered sponsorship for a project at work, but we have to badge up the equipment to acknowledge their funding.

You need to find the manual and/or figure out how to get inside it.
If you’re lucky it’ll have something akin to a standard bulb in it and you can swap it.
If you’re unlucky it’ll be just a circuit board in a pretty box and the whole thing is basically disposable, as even most electronics nerds wouldn’t have the patience or correct parts on hand to bother fixing it.

Surely the bare minimum a sponsor should provide is stickers? Anyway, get printable vinyl compatible with whatever colour printer you have to hand.

They do, yeah, hard to see what the finish is like though. I'm curious to see if anyone else has them on a fancy dadbike just to see if they'll look alright?
I've been get annoying neck pain on even short rides, so I think I'm done with drop bars. Wouldn't mind something that looks half decent though, because, well, aesthetics > bike fit

Bummer, I'm pretty sure it's a circuit board with LEDs soldered onto it. Alright, gotta look for a new lamp then, thanks!

Some late night (2319 ere) pics of my ergotec whichever bars. The ones with the 45degree angle. Have some lady towns waiting to go on another bike because elbow injury.
I am a bit curious why you are fretting about finish on cheap and cheerful bars. They're German quality (TM), just get the shape you think you like and then switch it out afterwards if you don't.

Thanks! I have no idea what sort of performance to expect from them.
