I don’t think the stock suspension block does anything on mine? It certainly doesn’t feel like there’s any suspension.
I weigh under 70kg though so maybe I should have a different spring. -

I've the stock one and weigh 70kg and its very bouncy but I can't feel it at all when riding at normal speeds, only when going walking pace

That's good to know, after the bolt fail yesterday that's great advice, thanks. Maybe this part won't be so shit after all!

All this talk about suspension blocks has made me wonder about mine.
Anyone used these?
Or shall we just keep it OG:

I use the OG JK super firm one, can't complain - been on since 2016 no issues

Thanks, will be ordering this when I get home.

Also spotted this if anyone needed a longer seatpost:

Also got one, but the orange ez one has now caught my eye. Might pimp out my bike further and take off the JK. It's barely used.

Ezclamp ones are good, jk better.

Nah, different head type. Looks like a main brake bolt from an older brake.

Interesting. Wonder why they updated the head shape

Selling or just saying?

Was flirting with the idea, but if you're interested in testing (or buying) let me know. Doesn't your CHPT3 already have an allegedly special, super-firm suspension block though?

chpt3 chat. The current chpt3 just has the same suspension block as the 'p' line. The Chpt3 is really a P with a finishing kit.
Hoke's interplanetary updates may of course have a special Look suspension block.

Not with my MK1.

The oldest gen Chpt3s used to come with thr OG Brompton firm suspension. Then the 2021 model (?) came with the 'new' suspension but in red and supposedly firmer than the new stock/standard.
The latest Chpt3 have that new P-line suspension that looks like a block of cheese lol.

Hi, does anyone here have a spare pair of Brompton forks?
I am asking for a friend who was knocked off his Brompton this morning luckily he was not hurt but the bike was damaged by the car driving over it. He thought he was in luck because it was in front of the Covent Garden Brompton shop but they told him that it would take 9 months to source a new pair. So was hoping someone could point to an alternative source. -

To save me removing the front carrier block from one of my brommies to measure the bit on the headtube they attach too could I ask someone with no fcb fitted to measure theirs?
Length, depth, width plus the c2c on the threaded holes please.
Cheers in advance.

9 months? Really?
What colour required?
Thanks, yeah it was lovely to get away if only for a night. We’ve been together for almost 31 years and Liz is still my bestie (soft twat!)
