Any opinions on the £99 clear out price on the Wahoo Elemnt Rival watch?
My use case is tracking my commute and occasional hikes without having calorie and speed fields right in my face to make me feel weird. Don’t really care about navigation and all that, so any reason anyone would see me regretting it besides the obvious loss of support from Wahoo?

My Edge is showing segments on the map but they're not being used when I cross into one... any idea which of the myriad of stupid conflicting settings I may have fucked up?

I’m looking for a wahoo compatible mount that will fit onto a nitro pearl stem? Anyone seen anything that does that job?
Seen mounts on eBay but they all seem to be for modern stems rather than skinny one inch threaded ones.
Any thoughts or links let me know..Thanks

Wahoo's will mount onto Garmin mounts with a tiny bit of shaving of the plastic. You could use a Garmin stock mount with the smaller O-rings to fit a skinny stem/bars.

And if you don't want to shave, this adapter works https://eu.wahoofitness.com/devices/bike-computers/quarter-turn-mount-adapter-elemnt

Cunt 1040 Solar just died in the arse after being used for the first time in 1.5 months. Had to reset the cunt. Stuck in a boot loop, presumably after trying to install updates I've missed the last months.
I'm sure this had some kind of quick setup where it copied all my 1030 config but fucked if I know where from or how? Too late, manual setup it is. Garmin when you suck you really fucking suck. Dickheads. Thanks for ruining my first attempted ride back you useless scumfucks.

I’m trying to get iOS calendar events into Garmin connect. And ideas on how I should do this?
Garmin calendar has full access set. No idea what to set on iOS. -

My Garmin 840 randomly notifies me when every 16.4km, even though I've turned off all distance notifications etc.
Has anyone had this issue before? It's driving me nuts!
-
• #3363
Presumably you've got an auto-lap set for every 10miles.
Activity Profiles > Alerts and Prompts > Lap > Autolap OFF
-
• #3364
Yeah, what's with Garmin having an Auto Lap set for 5km after a factory reset? Fucking idiot Garmin developers I swear they've never actually used their devices.
-
• #3365
fēnix 8 released
tempted...
-
• #3366
I thought that too, but my auto lap has been off for months, and I still get the notification pop up
-
• #3367
Probably something in that... I could imagine the majority of the developers being runners, for which 5k is a pretty standard interval length.

This is a 1040 Solar Edge a massive cycling GPS.
Quite frankly why are you setting some stupid arbitrary lap timer for any device?
-
• #3369
So you can compare numbers with your virtual partner?
-
• #3370
shakes fist
-
• #3371
I definitely wouldn’t want the auto lap thing, but I use the lap function loads on audax, to reset my average speed and help me figure out how long it’ll take me to reach X point

• #3373
Maybe useful for some here

I should've done that video. I'm an expert on removing Garmin features (except Virtual Partner)

How do I remove courses synced to my garmin? (without manually deleting)
Currently when I create a route in strava it automatically syncs as a course onto my garmin (810). If I then delete the course on strava, it doesnt delete on the Garmin. Is it possible to do that? Currently I have to delete the course in two places after a ride.
You can normally export KML files from Google which could also then be converted to GPX tracks using RWGPS or GPSies or something.
