Very true of The Silmarillion, partly true of Lord of the Rings, really not true of The Hobbit (children are a tough audience). This TV series is based on the Silmarillion, so it's being true to the source in that respect.

Very true of The Silmarillion

I did manage to read this, it wasn't flowing but I love the other ones and am glad I made it, the telly show is a breeze in comparison.
