according to bbc news people are "clamouring" for an oasis reunion. for balance I feel we need to hear from the majority who feel very deeply that oasis should never be heard of again because they are irredeemably shite

shite
Nice. I see what you did there.

Got to say I liked Oasis, and still like a lot of those songs from the A and B side singles of the first two albums.
They don't get as much play on my Spotify as UK Drill and centre-left podcasts, but they still have a special place in my heart.
Crazy to see how much the Ltd Ed B&H box sets are now. Wish I'd grabbed one.

I like a bit of Oasis. I have absolutely 0 temptation to see them live now though because it'll no doubt be insanely expensive, shit and full of cunts.

I'm gonna go if it happens. Yeah it'll be a bit shit, yeah it'll be full of wankers, but it would all be worth it if they can turn in a decent version of Columbia or Supersonic.
Stone Roses at Heaton Park and Hampden were both absolute carnage and it was fucking brilliant both times.

Got both, with a full compliment of singles. Never considered they might be worth owt.

I lived opposite Finsbury Park when the Stone Roses played there. The most carnage out of anything else that played there while we lived there.
Old fat dudes pissing in our front garden. More rubbish than I've ever seen in my life.

At Heaton Park there were guys in their mid-40's - obviously not been out for a while - necking some 200-300mg Garys and getting into all sorts of bother natch, getting taken away in the amberlamps before a note has been played 😝

I had them too - sold both about 15 years ago while under duress to clear out a cupboard full of stuff from my parent's old place, they went for ~£30 each back then so in decent nick they'll fetch a bit now

I went to their last gig before they split. It was at the Eden project and my brother grabbed me a ticket for something to do. Walking down the hill was hilarious enough, all the middle aged men doing their monkey walks in their parkas. I had a pretty big mop of curly hair at the time and one of these mad-fer-it types shouted “get your hair cut” at me. He looked like sloth from the Goonies, so when I countered with the obvious, and clearly paraphrased, “I can get it cut any time, whose going to sort out that face of yours though?” He actually started crying. Real tears. Of sadness. Such a brittle little greenhouse he was launching stones from

What was the best Brit pop band?
Oasis or Blur?
Pulp! -
• #101792
Aphex Twin
-
• #101793
Even Echobelly weren't as shit as Pulp. But they were all awful.
-
• #101794
I thought the Stone Roses crowd was pretty inoffensive compared to Wireless and the like.

• #101795
Honestly it’s a quote.

• #101796
What is it with old cunts going back 20 years to a band they thought were great at the time? I’m 62, and I can count on the fingers of one arthritic hand the bands of that era I want to revisit. There’s so much good new stuff out there, why are you wasting time and money on fucking garbage like Oasis?

Memes yeah

I went to see the Meteors 30 years after last seeing them, they sang the same songs, did the same ad-libs between those songs and where just as crap as they were bitd. It was a fab night, it had nothing to do with music really. My guess it it’s the same for the Quoasis lads.

If you had bothered to go to a Noel or Liam gig in the last 15 years they relentlessly played all the Oasis tunes you'd ever want to hear.
