  • Damn, wish I knew that was a thing before I bought mine; the standard faceplate is a bit ugly and busy for mine.

Loathe to pay $60 for a $20 watch because everyone wants one, again

  • Are there any brick and mortar stores where I can pick up a replacement strap for an F91W? Bearing in mind that the whole watch can be bought for £11 from Argos..

  • You don't need to use the F91 style strap if you ditch the plain pins for normal spring pins... I have a metal strap from a Skmei on mine

  • Yep, any 18mm I think it is for f91w strap will work.

  • Managed to finally sort out my Titanium Seiko, bought it at the start of the year and it was slightly too small. I was unable to source a new link so ended up buying another one which wasn’t working

  • New version of the Sensor Watch coming!

We’re adding a third color to the backlight: with a red, green and blue LED, you can light up your wrist in any color of the rainbow.
An infrared light sensor opens the door to new possibilities for sensing, as well as possibilities for data input without cracking open the watch case.
Finally, we’re working hard to amplify the buzzer on Sensor Watch Pro, to make it more useful for alarms and countdown timers. While this feature is still in development, we’re feeling pretty confident about getting it done.
We’re also planning to launch Sensor Watch Pro with an accelerometer add-on board, which should open the door to new kinds of sensing such as activity and sleep tracking.

And best of all there's a replacement LCD which adds a bunch of elements while somehow maintaining compatibility, to address the restrictions of the standard LCD, which made a lot of stuff difficult to understand. This should make a wide variety of functions a lot more feasible.

  • Oooft - nice that 👍🏻

  • This just arrived - Rdunae RA03 from Aliexpress

  • Hands-up who's hench?

Seiko SKA371 Big Fucking Kinetic: £100 (fees on you, shipping on me, 10% to LFGSS).

Boxed on bracelet c/w genuine Seiko rubber, Zulu Diver rubber (c/w skinny springbars) & unbranded fabric straps and springbar tool.

I wore this for work, so you don't need to fake the patina (ie the crystal is scratched and the bezel insert worn), but you'll want to clean the straps.

  • Sorted.

  • Got a new timex expedition for everyday wear, the backs not on straight which for some reason annoys me.

  • Anything that screws down won’t be straight unless you’re exceptionally lucky.

  • Or very dilligent in designing the fixtures/casting moulds.

  • To be fair that amount of misalignment is better than ever-so-slightly off correct 👍🏻

  • Haha that is true!

  • Anything that's threaded, I mean. Like a screw-down caseback or crown.

Omega have a way of achieving it on their watches called Naiad Lock that is essentially a bayonet fitment instead of a conventional full thread.

  • Here is a watch I have on my wrist.

  • That's cool, I love only the minutes/seconds marked...

    Does it sweep?

  • It definitely ticks. I have an automatic kienzle that I got when my gramps died. Which is a bit like triggers broom, that sweeps. (No pun intended). Getting the automatic fixed made me look for other watches and that quartz was £20 and a new battery.

  • No pun intended

    Literally incredible

  • I’m here all week.
