Have you seen user75204's stable of max bikes? Pumping the market 😉
In all seriousness, I'd say between 200-300 for a max frame in that condition. But then again I've never heard of John Hardisty -

As far as I can tell, John hardisty and his wife owned hardisty cycles, a bike shop in byker, Newcastle. They were famous for there tv and radio campaigns. I have no idea who built there frames, but I think they were only built bespoke to order and are very rare as a result.

@pipyepip I don't know about £300-400 either, as a Roberts Max frame sold on here for £400 with good paint. The only other one I know of that sold on here was the powdercoated olive green frame which was up for sale on here again recently.. maybe went for around £200 in the end?
Without a proper clean and photos it would be hard to put a proper value on it though.
On a positve note, what size is it? I might have a pal who would be interested in buying it pending price but they would want to respray it.

Depending on size i might be interested, i have these two but they are both size 52 and im looling for a 54-55.
Yours does look like a 56 though or bigger. Shame and post brexit shipping is stupid !

Found this one today. A 1999 Eddy Merckx Pista in professional team "Vlaanderen 2002" livery. Max tubing, Max forks. Can't wait for winter to come and ride it on the Ghent track.
Seller's photo, will take better soon.

Orlowski can make you a custom Max fork. I informed about it a few years ago.

That's such a great looking bike. I had some Max forks made by Orlowski years ago. Really good and really reasonably priced (although it was ages and ages ago, no idea if the value is still as good).

Cool bike but is it Columbus Max? Tubing doesn't look fat enough to me.

What do Max track frames (unknown builder) go for these days? £300?
-
• #1375
Depends who you buy it from. If it's from a connaisseur fixie rider, it might go up to 1k. But if you buy it from an actual trackie, 200-300 seems more likely.
prob should have held on to it for a few more years :)
