Hard to stomach that the pigs who mishandled the steven lawrence murder (and the assault on his friend) have got off without charge. it only takes a tiny bit of lateral thinking to realise that the lack of evidence, in a context already found to have been structured by racism, IS, ITSELF, ALL THE EVIDENCE YOU NEED

I'm seeing a worrying amount of attacks on social media. Going to have to take a break.

Considering what's been happening in the last few weeks I'm really supposed this thread has been do quiet. As a black man born in the UK I can honestly say not much has changed since my parents on invitation came here in the early 60s Not british enough for the british and not quite african or Caribbean when I go home. I feel that the only people that understand racism are the people who go through it. Who knows it feels it an old Caribbean adage.

I started this thread in the middle of the pandemic on the back of the execution of George Floyed. I'll once again say racism in the UK is insidious.

Know where you are coming from.
Wasn't really an invitation, was it. It was more come here to work, my folks came here under a similar 'invitation'.

Not sure there is much discussion, tbh.

I've been speaking on it for years.
We're not the ones with cognitive dissonance . -

Who'd have thought a populist, right-wing, anti-immigrant, Italy-first government would incite people to public racism...
-
• #1774
Or it could just be someone who didn't even need the current government to influence their views ...

You forgot faschist....you also may have missed the womans boxer (faschist by political party membership) playing a part in hate of a north African and do the Italians hate north Africans.
This actually makes me sad and tearful that what I thought was my country is such a fucking joke, Berlusconi was a cheap trump/bojo.
Edit: I'm angry and upset about what is happening in Italy
The Maffa (the African holocaust) is truly horrific and the African diaspora is still dealing with the generational trauma.
