One of the French pairing is a Herne Hill Velodrome alumni

Cannot imagine it was on purpose, unless they had some beef I don't know about. But even then JW is not the guy to pull a stunt like that. The temperature in the velodrome was extremely high, hence all the crashes I think, which are normally quite rare in the men's madison, strangely enough. The spanish guy somersaulting looked awful.

Yeah I'd be shocked if it was deliberate.
Synchronised swimming now. Put it in the same bin as breakdancing.

They were 0.1 of a second outside the Soviet world record from 1988. I’m thinking the Soviets might have been on the juice.

That is one long boi!
For anyone else you'd say that last 3 was a fluke, sent on an absolute player, 1/100 shot. But it's Steph, the best shooter of all time and there's nobody that comes even close.
LeBron and KD wide open, two giant men blocking him and he launched that on the most ridiculously high arc, just an unreal shot on the biggest stage.
Shout-out to France though, they played really well and made it a 3 point game late on, I started to believe they could do it but Steph wasn't having any of that!

I am enjoying my daughters confusion that this is what peak physical performance can look like and having her thoughts on body type challenged
-

I've just had this conversation with my 11yo, on a crowded train with a fair representation of different body types when she started asking loudly why the athletes were so 'chunky'.

Hope Hamish Turnbull (and other rider) ok that looked nasty.
Edit. Replay his avoiding momentum took him into the fence, no contact from other rider.

Hate to see a crash, but the smile on glaetzer's face getting a bronze after his dissapointing olympics was beautiful.
