  • in 'Stow there was an elderly lady in an electric mobility scooter zipping up and down Hoe Street shouting "when are we going to do something for are people?" etc.

Mostly people just smiled and waved, a few told her to f*** off.

  • Did you see the granny leaning out of her window above Hoe St with ‘fuck the nazis’ sign taped to her walking stick? Biggest cheer of the evening I think

  • How do you get from Tories fucking over the country to blame foreign people.

  • Ended up sticking around some other vulnerable/likely target spots in the borough. Did pass through Walthamstow Central just to check it out. Massive turn out. I did look for your hat too, no sight of it lol.

I take back a portion of what I said earlier - Stella was again in the area, this time outside the Mosque on the corner of St. Mary's Rd (same road where the targeted solicitors entrance is iirc). Maybe she's making up for you know, earlier comments that pissed us all off.

  • LOL need to see this.

  • Now very quiet when I just left, still a small group of anti-fascists there on Hoe Street and a riot van stationed opposite Mac's and three more around the corner just in case. Important to send a message though.

  • Congrats on the huge anti fash turnout.

    It's a good look.

  • Degrowth , big change, on BBC news now

  • All the papers who have been stoking the fires for years now praising the anti-fascists they’ve been condemning for decades can get right in the fucking sea.

  • Sending love to anyone who made it out last night! Amazing, heartwarming scenes in Walthamstow. Some very "on here" looking people with bikes outside the Goose pub as well.
I'll be at Whitechapel Mosque and then heading down to Crawley on Friday if anyone is heading to either and would like to buddy up. Drop me a DM if so.

  • She's not wrong about Southampton having a shortage of doctor's appointments and public service issues in general but she's absolutely wrong about the reason. Cuts and cuts and cuts and cuts by the increasingly far right moving government she (almost certainly) voted for and lack of staff caused by the brexit she (almost certainly) voted for.

  • Right leaning media sources, tory propaganda and weak social network disinformation controls. This is the inevitable result.

We keep thinking it can't get worse. It has, it does, it will.

there was a testy interview with Balls

  • Not arguing, why can we see this. Genuine question, by the way.

Going to add a star trek episode that covers this point perfectly.

  • Because the same cunts that blindly voted for the Tories, who underfunded everything for the last 14 years, are also the 'go back where you came from' racists.

  • Yeah this was a bit off, so glad to see complaints to Ofcom did pour in.

  • Ah, didn't see you either. Did head past the Goose mind you.

... and the classic pattern under oppression that people don't dare attack what really causes the problem but instead attack targets they think they can attack 'safely', in this case groups of vulnerable people.

  • You probably wouldn't recognise me if I'm not dressed in cycling clobber! Let me know if you're off to any others and we can try and meet up.

  • Well done everyone who turned up to counter demos last night. I'm hoping to go to the Glasgow one in September although by the looks of things the Fash probably won't bother ✊

  • If there is any bright side to the riots, surely it's that these dickheads have come out from their basements and shown themselves and a few hundred of them are now heading to prison, which will hopefully shut them and their mates up for a while.

And also all the regular people who may have been flirting with some of the far right's ideas have now seen it for what it is, fascist thugs looking to cause fear and destruction in communities, and will maybe turn away from those ideas.

  • of the people arrested this week for rioting and violent disorder

" Around 70% have previous convictions for weapon possession, violence, drugs and other serious offences. "

the fun people fighting to save our country from the asylum seekers
