Thanks for the reply, as I suspected on price. I will likely post in classifieds in the next couple of weeks. Let's see if the wheels get that.
@retrodicorsa
Long time lurker on this thread, and that Colnago Tecnos (2 pages back) is rather quite stunning. -

Whoah, a proper old timer! Didn't realise they did road bikes that early.

Proper old frame, very cool

Bizarre top tube rear cable approach tbf.

Trust me, it could be way worse...

That actually looks fucking cool.
However, the 3D print failed.
So now PoP riveted.
Also. Retro fitted. Which was kind of my point.

10 speed TA rings work with 11 speed.

Excellent thanks for confirming 👍🏻

Did the research for the white "classic" scheme for mine:
- San Marco Regal in perforated or not (both available)
- San Marco Concor in perforated or not (was re-released recently but couldn't find anyone with stock)
- San Marco Rolls in perforated or not (was re-released recently but couldn't find anyone with stock)
- Selle Italia Turbo non-perforated (available but looks cheap in real)
- San Italia Flite in perforated or not (both available)
Also white Athena hoods fit on new Centaur groupset
- San Marco Regal in perforated or not (both available)

Thanks. Going for but Flite in perforated.
I have gone with DA 9000 shifters and subsequently found you can’t really get replacement hoods for the shifters (in any colour).

Shots fired!

• #5415
No expert in Shimano, but with Campagnolo many hoods have the same shape, but not the same pattern embossed on it. And the different pattern embossed is enough for Campagnolo to say that it does not fit with your groupset.
-
• #5416
Sadly not the case with Shimano from the threads I’ve read online. I think 6800 hoods fit fairly well but with some gaps.
-
• #5417
Yeah nah - unless I'm mistaken, Campy have only had like three different lever bodies for Ergo (plus slight variation for shifting mechanism, plus electronic variants), while with Shimano, aside from the first 8s STIs, there's almost been a different shape for nearly every tier across every generation since.
Such a pity Hudz are so nasty.

Increasingly wishing I’d gone for Campag on this build.
-
• #5419
Don't know if you can put a ultra-shift on a power shift though...
-
• #5420
Still time to re-sell the Dura-Ace 9000! Have you already sourced the wheels?
-
• #5421
Yes but I’d run a Shimano cassette with Campag out of choice.
Will build it and see how I go.
-
• #5422
You can put power shift hoods on ultra shift if you cut the slot for the mouse ears, so sure you can - you just have redundant slots.
-
• #5423
It would be intereting to try out for sur, I wonder if just removing the coil spring would be enough.
-
• #5424
So, I've got this Lemond.

Phenomenally good looking bike.
Sorry, David Bailey was busy that day. Yes, it’s a 1” threadless fork.
