Is there a setting for cold coffee on the sage precision brewer. Not cold brew.

Any sage owners here? I have a couple of Barista Express machines without portafilters and I figure it's cheaper to buy a bottomless PF from the likes of Aliexpress than buy a stock one.
Any recommendations?

Buying sage replacements from sage is super expensive.

Yeah! About 80 quid 😂😂😂

I’m looking at getting a thermal carafe for my brewer. £85!!!
I had my first cold brew this morning. Left it going last night.
It was quite nice. But some views online seem to think steeping for even longer is better.

I bought this a few years ago for £27 and it fits well

I’ve never got on with cold brew. It’s always ‘missing’ the bits that make coffee enjoyable: acidity, bitterness, astringency, roasty flavour. I’ve always found espresso or pourover dumped over ice far more enjoyable.

I know what you mean.
I’ve been having espresso over ice last week. But saw that the spb did cold brew so thought I’d give it a whirl.
Weirdly I like the cold brew because it lacks the acidity, bitterness and astringency.

I've been making this recently. Much nicer than hot coffee dumped in a cup of nice I reckon! I do like a cold brew as well though.

I picked up one of these, which works well.

Scenery Roaster cold brewed & served over ice from Grapefruit Coffee in Sale, Ethiopian called "Scene Better Days".
Delicious after barrowing manure at the allotment.

I've seen Scenery pop up at lots of cafes recently

Coincidence, ordered beans from them this morning after seeing them as a guest at Kaffeine a few weeks ago (great cafe in central London)!

@M4xime @Philipflop I got their Columbian beans. £13 for 100g they better be as good via v60 as the Ethiopian was cold brewed.
I also got another Columbian, Manhattan Roasters, Rotterdam. £18 for 250g
Nice but pricey.

Very pricey!
I’ve bought some very nice everyday coffee from a1 and have a subscription from yb for something a bit different

I'm looking at over £2 a brew for the Scenery.
By comparison a 350g bag of Ancoats is about £1 per brew. The Manhattan 250g will be £1.40.
I need to get back towards the 50p sphere really, Django (250g for £10.50) offers closer to that at about 80p, although my sums might be wrong this late.

If you aren't fussed about what sort of medium-light coffee you get and go for Django's weekly sub (I find the surprise variety a bonus) it's 7.85/250g.. been with him for years and not about to stop now. And once you get on the train there are fairly regular discounts sent out to bring the price down even more and keep you around..

It’s about £10 per kg. Can’t argue with that kind of value.
It is very very good coffee.

Espresso options for a tiny kitchen - aeropress, mokka pot, anything else? Needs to be put awayable.

You won’t get espresso out of an aeropress or mokka pot
Plenty of espresso machines take up minimal counter space.

Yeah I mean short coffee really, I don't want to buy an espresso machine. I've been a barista, I want some one to do that for me!
Game changer for the rocky
