Is it for aero gains? I always figured it was a comfort thing as you see it loads of wide gravel bars.

  • My understand is that it all started with this sort of nonsense (see pic) and has trickled down into every aspect of road cycling.

  • Ridiculous finish in the men's triathlon. Clawed back 14 seconds in just under 2km. Serious guts.

  • absolute larceny from GBR over Netherlands in the rowing.

  • Always reassuring to see the Royal Family freeloading at Big Sports Day.

  • totally smashed it. Along with Alex Yee

  • I can confirm that the bmx does barspin.

  • BMXrs are a bit shit.

    (lol)

  • I think some of the terminology in the sport may point to French interest. En-garde!!

  • This isn’t nonsense. Jwvs is a king

  • Luke Plapp has been released from hospital today @hippy

  • I attended womens football on sunday afternoon, badminton on monday morning and womens rugby 7s on monday afternoon and was shocked at how full the stadiums were! I think the football outside paris might have more trouble selling tickets at times but in general it was very positive.

The tennis on tv does look a bit empty, but the seats inside the camera angle will all be €300+ or corporates so possibly priced too prohibitively for non-medal sessions.

  • French TV is doing a shit job with lots of the sports. It seems they don't have a lens which can show the clay pigeon targets. Perhaps the Olympics took them by surprise.

  • Its all done by Olympic Broadcasting now. Little or no input from national broadcaster anymore afaik

  • So was I.

I made the mistake of looking at his IG post before my op. Eeew

  • I've ridden some of that mountain bike track.

  • I know jack shit about gymnastics but I've been hugely impressed by the Ukrainian and the British men on the high bar.

  • That final was brilliant

  • That 200m men's fly was brilliant, look forward to see if he can do the double later, arena will explode if he does

  • struggling to follow this olympics. Get home each night and just getting swim chat.

Is there not like a 1 hour evening roundup of the day's key events??

iplayer seems a bit painful finding what you want, but ideally just want a summary covering some different sports.

  • If you go on iPlayer and then on the Olympic page there is a must see section and shows you 3-5 minute highlights of all the key events that autoplay one after the other

  • Iplayer has been really poor in my experience. I couldn’t watch the hockey live the other day despite it being trailed on the homepage because it kept taking me to BMX.

  • "Tonight at the Games" on iplayer is 80 minutes and comes on 10:40pm every night. Its like a magazine show but all the main highlights (from a GB perspective) are there.

  • Leon Marchand Pt 1 was incredible, hope he comes through with Pt 2.

Does anyone else think he has a Mbappe look to him? It’s been bugging me all week.
