Isn't the UK full of rich wankers shooting pheasants? I'm confused now. Must be beer oclock.
-

I used to work at a clay pigeon shoot, the clientele definitely were not rich wankers.

the iranian tv coverage providing a good laugh as they wildly try and put the black censoring bar on the female athletes

Is it me or are a lot of the events very sparsely attended?

They showed the fencing earlier, absolutely rocking in that venue. Not an empty seat and it's LOUD! French must be really into it I'm guessing.

This. Murray/Evans in the tennis had barely anyone there. Obv not a proper Olympic sport, but you'd expect enough people would want to see something to sell out.
Probs all the parisians fucking off on their hols. -

Ireland winning our first ever men’s gold in the pool, and with an Olympic record. Has helped me get over seeing someone called Siobhan Bernadette Haughey, who is the actual niece of Charlie Haughey, winning medals for Hong Kong.

Wtf is 3 on 3 half court basketball doing in the Olympics? Where's 5 a side footy?

I was surprised by her name/country.
And well done c'mon sir Tim Andy Murray. Rolling back the years.

Irish da, Hong Konger mum, lived all her life in HK, so fair enough - just get excited when I see an Irish name. Though usually find it's attached to an ocker convict.

USA winning no shooting medals is funny

Interesting he swims for Ireland rather than GB. A good couple of days for Armagh.

Loving the street basketball! France vs China women’s match was amazing.

Happy Triathlon in the pissing rain on cobbles day to all who celebrate

Turd swimming is under way.

Amazed at how calm the Seine is this morning. I’m sure the currents must be pretty strong, I assume they tried to use slack tide, but it can be slack for the womens and the men’s.
Very cool going up those steps from the swim to the bikes. -

Crashes on every corner in the triathlon cycling.

• #346
What are the tactics on the bike section of the Olympic triathlon? Why would anyone take a turn on the front unless you had a team mate in there?
Also - lol at the ultra turned-in brake levers when there’s no other attempt to keep aero.

Strong riders try to stretch the better runners, better runners try to stay with and stay upright.

As one of the leading olympic female triathletes, I'm sure she's on twitter if you want to message her to help her on how to set her bike up?

Thanks. The Swiss athlete looked like she was doing far too much work to me.
I’m quite invested in this now.

It wasn’t aimed at any athlete in particular. I’m sure we’ll see the same in the men’s race, much as we have in every cat 2/3/4 road race.
Not as I read it. I took it to be saying no one in the UK does clay shooting because we are too busy shooting the 45 million pheasants.
