After several years of criticising Fahrenheit, this week it has proven its superiority for describing the weather. At 26C indoors it starts getting uncomfortably warm even in shorts and a t-shirt; at 20C people start wearing jumpers.

It's nice.

My face is melting.

Saw some kids wearing hoodies and puffa jackets today the mind boggles

Mature, distant neighbour asked if I could pop round and draw the blinds inside the acrylic roof of his conservatory. No problem.
He had put his lab thermometer outside to check the temp. He freely admits it is over 30 years since it was checked/calibrated, but we saw an indication of 36C.

it's actually nice and cool this evening, i left the house for a quick ride and was pleasantly surprised, was expecting a furnace

Man's not hot, brev.

BBC shouldn't have ditched the Met Office.

It's probably just a classic piece of British one-upmanship. 'You call that 'Milton' thing a hurricane?'

(So far, 'Milton' seems not to have been as bad as feared, which is some relief, although obviously there are still plenty of reports to come in yet.)

It's still up lol. Am suffering hurricane force winds from the North East currently.

Didn't expect to have snow this morning. It started out more like sleet, now it's proper snow. I love it. It makes the world look so much nicer. Kids are ecstatic.
