Anyone use magic mouse / keyboard? Started work today with an almighty lag on both fronts. Updated everything, charged everything, and reset what I could to no avail. Tracking delay is driving me nuts!

I get delay / stutter once every couple of weeks with my magic trackpad - switching bluetooth off and on always fixes it 🤷

So infuriating. Have tried every solution offered online, but just can't shake the lag. Working on a big project in Figma and keyboard / mouse are essentially unusable.

Quick question for anyone in the know about apple stuff...

Is there much benefit in upgrading from a 2020 iPad Air to the new M1 iPad Air?
With the current education offer and trade-in the new modle works out just under £300 to change along with an £80 Apple gift card.

The corrent iPad works fairly well but the battery seems to be getting poorer. It's also pretty slow when I use it with screen mirroring on my M1 Macbook Air. not sure if the newer iPad would be better in that respect?

How much do you get for your old one? Seems like a worthwhile upgrade to me

I think it's £215 for the old one.

Funny thing is I only got the current one because it was on a promotion and I got £250 or so trade-in for my original iPad 1 which had a battery life you could measure in seconds!

So £300 incl the trade-in, or is trade-in on top? Both no-brainers to me if you have the monies

I’ll need to figure out where the nearest Apple Store is and see when I can head over there.

My wife’s phone fell on the keyboard of her 2016 13”mbp and there are now vertical lines on the screen. Any fix? I assume it’s not going to be worth getting a new screen?

Totally not worth getting a professional to do it, but you might be able to fix it with a secondhand display off ebay and some time and patience.

(easier than most other similar models I've done which require removing the motherboard)

TY, lost my Master years back and wasn't getting on with my current mouse so grabbed one.

Hi, Wondering if anybody on here could help me (or rather my daughter out). Over the weekend my daughter spilt a glass of water over her macbook pro. She said she turned it off immediately - but I think it went off by itself! I've taken the rear case off and left it to dry/air out, and after about 24hrs or so I tried to power it up. It made the apple chime noise but that was all. Nothing on screen. No touch bar illuminations. Also, when you plug the charger in there is no green/amber indicator on the jack. The charger is working as when I plug the lead into my phone it will charge it. Any ideas before I admit defeat and take it to a shop :( Thank you, Mike

Somehow, through clumsy fingers, I highlighted all the data on a note and pasted over it. Because I thought I'd accidentally created a new note with the pasted data I deleted it. I immediately realised what i'd done and tried to undo but that just undid the delete, there aren't any more undo states to get the data back.
Anything clever I can do?

..should be in "Recently Deleted" in the sidebar!

Yeah undo, pulled it form recently deleted. It recovered the the pasted over version, not the original. I think I'm probably out of luck

Are you running Time Machine? If so you could roll back?

If it's a shared note you can see the edit history, but if it's only yours then you're out of luck.

Nope. I have an iCloud backup from 3am. Is it possible to restore from that without completely resetting the phone?

Maybe you can access it from iCloud.com? Worth a try

It seems notes aren't available through iCloud data recovery so I'm out of luck I reckon.

It's not shared. Ah well, I'll just have to be more careful next time.
