Diggin it. Would prefer it with a shorter head tube and 110 rather than 120 fork. Might try rigid.

excellent gravel bike

That is a 110 fork no?
I thought they were sold with 110

• #557
exactly

120mm. I built it.

I think you can change them to 110. Check with SRAM if yours can be altered
I run 120, it's perfect, it can actually MTB but also rides just nice. Don't bother changing it.
I think 120 is the nearly perfect amount of travel. 130 is perfect.

TF Tuned said it’s 20w lead time for the part to change travel.
I’m building another bike that I can put these forks on so have the opportunity to spec this fork again. I just don’t need 120 and it’s a touch slack in this configuration. I’m used to a steeper xc bike. This is too slack.

Yes, but you live in the Pyrenees, right?
-
• #562
Well yes but really 120 to 110 seems pointless. Go to 100
-
• #563
I would but the 100 SID doesn’t have 35mm stanchions, which I really appreciate coming from a 32mm fox 100.
I’ve fettled over much more pointless modifications than this.

Yes fair point on size!

Is anyone looking to shift a Faran? I think either of the 51s or a 54r would work for me. Probably just looking for a frameset.
-
• #566
Me in 54r, as I think I want to move to a 54t. DM me.

Have sent you a message! Thanks.

Had this 56r strael for a couple of weeks and absolutely in love with it.

I want l a rigid steel fork for the Holt in winter and for its eventual Dadding.
Anything better than the Cotic Alpaca out there?
Would prefer carbon but can’t find decent options below £500. Bought an SP Cycles fork from AliX and not impressed.

Good suggestion. Thanks.
Would like that 1120 front rack too. Hmm

Solid page! Geat place to take a Holt, and the moss is growing on me.
Holt felt at home in Kyrgyzstan, some of the most fun I've had on a bike was the 37km decent from tosor pass, still amazed at what a hardtail can do - grav bikes were left in the dust.

Yeah I feel like I’ve drunk the kool aid but it does feel noticeably more comfortable and compliant compared to my previous 2012 aluminum hard tail.
I'd get some schwable. Gravel kings are shitty.
