What's the website that gives you these size overlays? I'd like to have a look at few things.

I’m pretty sure tall drivers with children existed before the advent of sports utility vehicles. Plenty of practical options out there that won’t destroy the planet or pedestrians.

This. Why is anyone ‘on here’ even considering buying nearly-new Porsche SUVs lol

He’s normally blipping about in an amg e63s estate (at least that’s what he’s driving when he parks opposite us to visit his parents)

A Ford Galaxy doesn't have quite the same ring to it though.

I often wonder what headspace I'd need (apart from finances) to consider a car like this. Or any car at all, to be honest.
And I really like cars, grew up with a car crazy father who still only drives embarrassing/high end cars. But maybe that's the thing, no way I want to be anything remotely boomer. -

Seriously tempted by one of those though.

Love these, we call them the shoe car in our house cos they're shoe shaped obvs. Especially like the spoiler thats like a handle for a kid to pick it up. There's a gold one near us.

Why does anyone bother with a fast car? Even before the advent of speed limiters you couldn't do much with them. Better to have a convertible with a modest engine. Relax under the sky. Stop trying to compete on public roads.

26 inch wheels existed before 27.5 and we've moved to 29inches since. Things move on. Well, except attitudes and opinions of others, it'd appear.
I'm polluting the world with my M2, which I drive in loops without stopping, for fun. I tend not to drive on the pavement so pedestrian comments I'll look past.
Next I'll be told I should be riding a steel bike because they existed before the advent of other material usage. 🫡 -

No competing here. I have one because I can. I enjoy using it in the same way I enjoy blasting down a trail or road on my bike. It's just a personal choice. Believe me when I say that a fast car is still fun within the speed limits.
Convertibles are wasted on my as I'm bald. -

Yes, absolutely an option - but I need to find a car I'd like to keep...!

I tried motorcycle racing for a while. So intense. The fulfilment of an impossible dream. I never thought I had the skill or the bottle. Pretty soon I realised I was just going round in circles at ugly disused airfields, consuming vast quantities of fuel and tyres, swamping the pit crew with harmful chemicals at every pit stop. It's all indefensible selfish nonsense. For some reason our culture still approves of it. It's madness.

Remember the poor guy that tried to sell a Range Rover Evoque on here? As if having the misfortune of owning one of those wasn't bad enough in itself.
(edit: not criticising owning SUVs in general, not my cup of tea but Macans look sorta fun I guess)

Am I in the wrong thread?

And they had limited options then too.
I feel that it says a great deal about driving behaviour that hardly any cars ever have been able to sit an adult comfortably in the rear. You get some cars with smart tricks - like the mk1 Ka had a steep recline on the bench which brought your knees a lot higher giving you effective leg room. However, that particular trick rules out a huge number of car seats - basically all infant seats at least.

An #influencer has misrepresented their life to me? I'm shocked!
Actually I kind of am because I thought he was a good egg - his Nissan has featured in a lot of his previous videos.

Says nothing about ownership or going in circles?
I regret not having done the cars are cool thing 20 years ago, because I feel like we definitely moved on a bit.
Bit sad that I'll never have a 912 and manage to drive it without feeling stupid. -

I feel the same. One of those things that bar a Euro million win is closed off.
It's why I'm so adamant about not giving up my motorcycle, because once it's gone I'll never be able to get it back.

I think people here just don't like SUVs.
There seem to be about 100 Porsche owners here... Even a mk1 Cayenne.
My comment above was about RR Evoques specifically btw... I just think they're ridiculous. That thread was also hilarious.

An Evoque was offered in this thread too.

Pretty sure he is a good egg, and may well have appeared in his Nissan this way and I just didn’t clock it due to the mundanity invisibility cloak. A problem the pink jazz obviously doesn’t suffer from…
Alfa mito 120bhp t jet.
Anyone had one?
