can a tshirt even be creased

Would you suggest biggerer?
The 33 will do if you're connecting to an external condensate drain. I'd go bigger otherwise, particularly as you're discussing a bunch of t shirts. I'm using the previous version of this https://uk.trotec.com/shop/ttk-66-e-dehumidifier.html just drying cycle clothing I can't tumble dry, and it still fills up pretty fast. Cotton mixes which haven't been tumble dried will hold a lot of water.

Only whilst it's thrown in a drawer, once you put it on and ignore the grease patch it's fine.

My question was about the wall mounted drying rack. And i might make some of them.
But... We already have two of those ceiling mounted ones left by the previous owners but in pointless locations, one is in the garage which is not heated. The other is in the ground source heat pump room, and it's a really cluttered space so is tricky to use (the door swings inward and hits the rack or knocks things off).
But it does make me think about relocation one to the new drying room. I hadn't even thought about it so thanks for reminding me.
This is turning into a weirdly fun project. There is already a cistern overflow pipe through the wall so the dehumidifier could drain straight outdoors rather than into the foul water drain for the toilet.

Wife and I saw the box legend folder being used on Superstore and I was then given one a few years ago. It really helps having all t-shirts folded to the same proportions. I have subsequently given them to other people too.
-
• #122832
definitely get why that is a good thing. Can it not handle tshirts that are a bit crinkly or something? I still don't really get why the drying method matters
-
• #122833
Those 'ceiling mounted ones' are called creels.
-
• #122834
The soon to be ex toilet room is only 165x95 cm. Sadly the creels (thanks @Brun ) won't fit as half of the room has an angled ceiling as it is under the stairs heading to the attic.
I have one 160cm and one 122cm creel. but they won't be able to be repurposed. Also the door currently swings inwards so this will need to be addressed too.

If the t-shirt dries crinkly the folder can't iron out the creases. Being able to dry them when they have been shaken out and the pits opened out will be better than how they currently get dried.

I solve this by neither folding or ironing my t-shirts, or anything else really.

so we're back at "can a tshirt even be creased" haha

please someone recommend me a firm / person to ship / courier my stuff, including a couple of bikes, from London to Holland. I don’t want to pay £££ for proper removals or have enough stuff to justify it, nor do I want to have to turnaround and take a hire van straight back to blighty.
Thanks x x x -

It can be creased but there is the folded neatly and crease free option too

At work we use Firstpoint Logistics. For what we need, they have a database of haulage vehicles that would otherwise be returning home empty. Which makes them competitively priced.
Everything from Lutons to artics. They do a mass of other services, so if you speak to them it is probably worth asking for the returning-home-empty service.
ETA - The service we use is dedicated vehicle - rather than a courier doing his rounds. Collects from us, drops off at destination, doesn't carry any goods other than ours. -

Hey, that’s great, I’ll look into it x

Drape the shoulders over the hanger instead of inserting the hanger in the shirt. Prevents stretching. Works for some jumpers and trousers too.

• #122843
I'm interested to know how you get on. Only because I've recommended them on a couple of occasions and not had any feedback.

• #122844
I don't get how this works without the t-shirt falling off. Can you illustrate?

I want to record street noise from my bedroom window, I occasionally hear some great snippets of conversation such as 'the secret to a successful marriage is.....' (the talker walked down the side of the house and out of earshot).
If I recorded this, would I be breaking the law as well as being a bit weird, or would I just be a bit weird?
-
• #122846
Aiui you can record what is spoken in the public domain. What you do with the recordings depends if there is ever any personal or identifiable information in the snippets of dialogue you are recording

Does anyone have any idea what language this is, and how I might go about translating it? It was found in a Victorian dump.
I tried Google lens and other translate from image websites but not had any luck.

I've never heard any names, yesterday a lady and a man were talking, the lady said 'you have to be emotionally attracted to someone to be sexually attracted to them' and the man made some err umm noises that didn't sound like he was too convinced.
I was thinking about doing uploads of the snippets, maybe I'll work out a way of disguising the voices, like Crimewatch

Looks like Chinese characters (or Japanese kanji), someone on here might recognise them

ChatGPT fu says
The symbols on the token in the image appear to be Chinese characters. The character in the center is "福" (fú), which means "good fortune" or "happiness." This character is commonly used in Chinese culture, especially in decorations and amulets, to convey wishes for prosperity and good luck.
The intricate design surrounding the character suggests it may be a decorative or symbolic piece, possibly used as a charm or part of a traditional ornament.
As in the ceiling mounted one? No. But the metal sections are cast so I can't imagine there is much difference between any of the ones you'd fine other than dimensions or colour.
There is some scandi version using string, that while it looks nice isn't likely to be as good as wood. However, if you're adding dryness it might be negligible. Unfortunately I can't find it at the moment. But Google image shows a lot of etsy images, so if you want something more modern maybe browse there.
This looked cool. https://eu.georgeandwilly.com/en-gb/products/ceiling-hanging-drying-rack?pb=0
But a bit pricy.
I think nice mounting hardware and running the string neatly, finishing etc. will notice more than the actual unit.
