This is pretty good. Missed it yesterday as I only started watching about 15 mins before KO.

You're not alone.
I've always had a soft spot for Leicester since the 97/98 team.
Keller, Izzit, Heskey (lol), Savage, Cottee. Great team. Can't remember if local lad (to me) Steve claridge was sold then though, or if still there.

loads of us happy to see Leicester back. and to see the proper football coming back soon

Honestly, if Kane doesn't start, then its probably a very different game.
His inability to press, not running in behind meant the Spanish defence were under no pressure for the first 60 mins. Their entire team could just push up, enabling them to press us more effectively.
It also means none of the rest of the attack and midfield can play their natural game. -

Leicester another serial financial cheating club

In an antidote to the Leicester fandom, I still hold some bitterness towards them for going into administration, screwing over their suppliers, coming out with no penalty and then picking up some of our players on bumper contracts.

This is football, my friend.

I feel a major part of football is irrational dislike of teams/players for minor infractions thirty years ago.

Correct, I hope Ipswich beat Derby's points record, and hope Luton go back to 4th tier football.

Canāt imagine the list for those who want to be England manager will be a very long oneā¦

I don't know, Ā£5 million per annum to work part-time would tempt me.

Yeah Iāve been looking for something equally as flexible to progress too lol

Lee Carsley is the next cab on the rank, though maybe not a big enough name. Potter's free, but would be a bit shit I reckon.

Nice graphics from the Athletic on passing networks for England and Spain

Why do you think that? Genuinely don't get the dislike of Potter, he was doing really well until an error in judgement led him to west London. He's barely remembered as a player, so didn't walk into a top management job like so many others and instead earned the right to manage Brighton.

Happy days indeed!

Watching England throughout these Euros, It just looked like we were on the back foot more often than not for 60-80 mins .. only when it got to crunch time was there a change of direction. We just donāt press efficiently, defenders are not comfortable facing their own goal and chasing down attacking play.
There were moments when Spain wobbled, so who has that āon-the-ground visibilityā to switch things up for England?!?!?!

Don't dislike him, just that his Chelsea stint showed him up as not able/ready to manage at the top level. That may well be because they are a complete basket-case club and where good managers go to get their reputations shredded, but there is a decent amount of primadonna wrangling needed for the England job (the bit which Southgate is good at TBF) and I'm not sure Potter would have enough clout. May be wrong.
The best boot deal Charlie Kane could drum up for Harry was Skechers?
