buying secondhand
eBay or elsewhere? I'm not seeing much decent stuff on eBay at the moment (right now looking for a pair of C&J / Cheaney or similar with commando soles, to replace a pair of Meermin which have't worm well).

Have you looked on Vinted? Most clothes and shoes have moved over to there - to the point where eBay has made it free to list clothing.
Thanks all for the advice. Going to manipulate them each morning and wear them under my home desk and in the house for a week and see how it goes.

It's always been good for me. Only bought Loake from the 1888 range in a 8.5

I gave up buying new shoes, they always took multiple wears to bed in. Even doing the work and home not moving much thing. I started buying secondhand, now have enough good shoes that shouldn't need to buy another pair now, just repair when required.
That want much help was it?
