  • Bend them a bit like this 10 times.

    Then keep wearing them till your feet bleed. Have a break, then they'll be fine.

  • Wear them around the house and when you’re sat about working from home etc and bend them as suggested above - wear them with a sock or a preemptive plaster? - alternatively wear them to the local pub and have a few pints - they’ll be grand after that…

  • Apply kinesiology tape to your skin and a couple of decent wears should see the shoe give and the foot adapt!

  • Wear a slightly thicker sock when breaking in at home.
    I too often get that rub just below the ankle with cycling shoes also.
    I wear a pair of woolly booly wool socks which seem to cushion well and don’t rub as much but the volume will stretch the shoe.
