Clothes peg on nose for tactical voting in the west of Scotland this morning.
A single figure volt of SNP MPs would be nice tomorrow. Would hopefully ensure bankruptcy and further investigation by the Insolvency Service. -

On the basis of the last two posts, possibly a Ham-Which…

one person I play football with is definitely voting Con over this
Is it @fabfurrymarmots
Wasted vote anyway, it's telling that even if every parent in the country who sends their kids to a fee paying school voted Conservative, it would still barely register.

These people would form a stop the steal protest march.
-
• #2956
If I had kids, I’d send them to private school. But it’s not all about me and the average Tory thinks it’s all about them.
I have short patience for Corbyn and Fernstein in North London - all they will achieve is splitting the Labour vote. At a time when the country is desperate for a Labour government.
Too principled for their own and the greater good.

Oh yes, they’re speculating about potential mass riots and protests within days when Starmer takes all the signs off the toilet doors or something. Casually ignoring the fact that labours manifesto is massively transphobic and regressive.

The Conservatives are expected to only get 5% of the vote in Islington North, so I don't think it's a problem at all to vote for who you want in that seat.

I do have kids and wouldn't dream of sending them to private school.
-
• #2961
I wonder what those theoretical children might think about that?
-
• #2962
I’d theoretically have to ask them. And I would theoretically bring them up with the firm understanding that they’re privileged.
I wouldn’t theoretically be raising a pair of spoilt Herberts.

• #2963
The Education Council sent me to private school, I wouldn't wish it on any unfortunate kid.
-
• #2964
Is that Jo Cox? Horrendous if so.
-
• #2965
That's like an inverted chip on one's shoulder..
-
• #2966
No, it really isn't, it's a comment on the undiluted awfulness of that particular school.
-
• #2967
I think that’s the crux: not all private schools are variations of Eton or Harrow, full of establishment oiks.
-
• #2968
I'm glad I went to a completely unremarkable state school. Properly mid.

Was impressed when John Curtis stated that they generally know the winner of the election based on the data from their exit poll by about 2pm on election day.
Is this available anywhere today?
-
• #2970
absolutely not, highly illegal to release any polls or commentary before 22.00
EDIT although the delightful Kuenssberg did so last time and never got any punishment as far as I can recall

Is this available anywhere today?
I'm not sure they'll be allowed until after 10.00pm

The exit poll? Not till 10. His whole interview was very much about how few people have that info and there are no Internet connected devices held by staff, they have to hand them over and they are locked away. It's like a secure room.

I've been telling some people (jamons) that the election is Friday so there's no point in coming out on thursday.

Do all the networks get the exit poll at the same time ? Or is it a BBC scoop at first ?
Plenty of gams on the DM message boards claiming to be putting down hard cash on a reform majority.
