I would do it, and did do it.
I was technically the third owner though; a Japanese fella from new, my mate who imported it as far as paperwork goes (but only drove it as far as my house), then me.
I don’t recall many issues, tbh. It will need registering with DVLA and it will be higher spec (eg mine was 1992 with aircon) and in better condition (no salt/grit) than its UK counterpart.
It’ll need a rear fog light (easy) and the odometer will be in kph. The speedometer in mine was already in mph.

It's fast and took me about 2 minutes to set up. It will happily print stuff from my phone
Aye, same experience with the M15w, which I only bought on a personal recommendation. HP were so shit in the SOHO product space for so long that I wouldn't have trusted them to have gotten it back together, otherwise. So if this one packs up, I will be looking at whatever is their latest equivalent.

I think acquiring Samsung's printer business helped. I can't be bothered to look up the HP model number but I got a proper office grade machine with Ethernet for about £120, it has been faultless.

Going on a family holiday to Torquay. Should I bring a bike and if so which type of bike should I bring. Anyone know of any routes?

Did my AirPod Pro's noise cancelling get worse over time, or did I get more sensitive?
I swear I was hardly able to hear other people talk for example (like, people on their phones in public transport), and now I often feel the need to turn NC on - only to realize it had already been on 🙃

I would guess that it's more likely that the fit of the airpods in your ear is worse not the noise cancelling, so noise is bleeding in that way.
I've had a pair of bose noise cancelling headphones for years and the noise cancelling is exactly the same as when I first got them.
Have you tried to replace the rubber bits that fit in your ears?

I have a good question. Where has my Blu-ray remote gone?
I've looked under the sofa cushions and under the sofa. Where else might it be?
4 members of the household are pleading ignorance

Have you looked in the oven?

This is good thinking, I like it 🧐
Yet the eartip-thingies look pretty good / pretty much like they were looking when new, and the earpods seem to still fit fine.. will try to obtain some new tips to check though, thanks for the input 👍

I do find a lot of things in the oven, normally after I've turned it on. I haven't found a remote in there yet but I did melt my twins' birthday cake after 10 mins heating up to 200 degrees

.
This is what a Co-Op pizza looks like after you've put it in the oven, forgotten about it, and gone to bed. Avoid.
ETA - Also, the kitchen is a bit toasty.

Under/on top/behind the machine itself?

It's normally under the TV, the box itself is fixed under the TV shelf. My house is a mess, and I'm hoping it'll turn up soon. A new one costs the same as a 2nd hand box! Sony BDP-S7200 in case anyone is interested.
I bought a broadlink rm4 mini universal remote at the weekend so I can play the Panpipes for Lovers CD I found today.
I told my twins they couldn't turn it off until they found the remote. I couldn't stand it though so after 15 mins I turned it off.
Definitely isn't under the sofa

Nephew (~5yo at the time) once put his parents' car key in a big vase that had a thin neck because he didn't want to go home from staying at his grandparents. His parents (and grandparents) spent the best part of a day and a half looking for them.

You'd be surprised: "No, that's not it" ... "Oh, wait a minute, what was that you showed me hours ago?"

The council's contractor disposed of my motorbike without writing to me about it. Am I entitled to compensation?
The bike had been stolen. I reported the theft. Sometime later the thief abandoned it on the street and it was recovered and impounded by the contractor. I received a phone message from the police saying that the bike was in the council pound. I rang the contractor. They said the bike had been destroyed, and that they hadn't written to me because the bike didn't have a number plate. They said the police had been trying to contact me. My view is that the contractor had a statutory duty to write to me on the council's behalf. It would have been simple to get my address from the frame or engine number.
This says "Authorities can dispose of an abandoned vehicle immediately if...it has no number plates. In all other cases, they must try to find the owner." https://www.gov.uk/guidance/abandoned-vehicles-council-responsibilities But it doesn't mention vehicles abandoned not by the owner but by a thief. Or vehicles which have had numberplates removed by a thief or vandals. Perhaps the relevant law caters for such details, but I can't find it.
I've complained to the contractor and am being ignored. My next step is a complaint to the council. If they fob me off, can I go to the Small Claims Court? I want five grand.
eta. The bike wasn't insured against theft. I don't know what condition it was in when recovered. I don't know whether the contractor took a photo.

Was it insured at the time?
[EDIT] Ah, not insured against theft at the time.

You were tidying up, put it in your pocket and took it out again in the bathroom when you went to go to the toilet.

Order a new one. If you don’t find it immediately, you’ll find it precisely 15 days later.
I've got the HP M110W from aggi's link. Not had it long but I like it. It's very small, prints are high quality and sharp. It's fast and took me about 2 minutes to set up. It will happily print stuff from my phone over wifi so very convenient.
