Anyone have any experience/thoughts on the Ribble CGR? Looking at getting something road & gravel curious. I had a great small Arkose from Mrs @pjhobs iirc and it was fantastic but felt a little dull. In hindsight most likely my fault for comparing it to my Pre Cursa and riding it on the stock wheels and 35mm tyres around London.
Or anything else in the sub £1000ish mark, Jesus when did bikes with 105 become so bloody expensive. No problem with non 105 but ideally thru axle so if in the future I want to upgrade anything I should be able to adaptor my way to it.

I ended up with a Kinesis GX Race but the Ribble was top of my list otherwise. Fancied building a bike rather than off-the-peg.
The value is great and they’re really classy looking bikes. Ribble often have b-stock or clearance so keep an eye out.

How do Cervelo Aspero and Caledonia compare?
Anyone tried both? -

It's been a couple of days since anyone here bought a Crux
Maybe there's still hope for gravel

Maybe talbot to re-launch as well.

Yeah they seem to represent great value. Wish I could buy the frameset easily, I’d be happier building up with a new groupset and a wheelset from here. The kinesis looks fantastic you’ve done some job on it.

Rode the DIY M25 offroad orbital route posted a couple of pages back yesterday. Contrary to expectations, it's actually a very good route, aside from a couple of very overgrown sections, most notably between Bulphan and North Stifford - avoid this.
A last minute change to CW direction to catch the strongest winds on our back and get the Dartford crossing out of the way early.

Similar to my last comment about the Ribble CGR, anyone tried to Dolan GCX? On the C2W the monthly cost between that and the CGR overall is only about £150 (same 105 12sp) and I've loved my other Dolan bike.

Thinking of getting a Enve Mog, anyone have any experience on them at all?
Will replace the Stayer OG+ but just see if this is going to be worth the switch

Does a fast / direct-ish Brighton & Back (from London) gravel route exist?
A worrying development for the thread
