  • I think Ben O'Connor just comes across as a great bike rider but still needing work on the mental game to get to the top level. Maybe they did a lot of that over the break before this season as his Giro was pretty good. Guess we will see at the Tour when there are more big names (hopefully)

  • Blimey , one of the Yates brothers going to Jumbo , Visma lease a bike wotnot etc…. think it’s the one without the fuzzyfelt stick on beard ….
Vinny and Yates up against Pog and Yates next year ?

  • Our taiyo with covid

  • I do hope Tao's bad luck will end at some point.

  • He won the giro. With the greatest of respect that's his lifetime of luck in one 3 week dump

  • Vingegaard named in the Visma-Lease a Bike Tour team, alongside Wout Van Aert.

  • A classic case of the team bluffing . Oh he ain't ready as he drops everyone in the third week much to everyones disappointment.

  • I think he would have beaten Roglic in last year's Giro, too, if he hadn't crashed out. Obviously, suppositions don't count for anything in sport.

  • That nice Mr Wiggogins is apparently bankrupt and 'homeless'. Sad to hear. I haven't followed his story and don't know what happened, other than that it's probably been down to poor business sense.

  • Didn’t he front the money for his team? If you’re famous you’re the face, not the wallet

  • sofa surfing

Oh dear, although I'd imagine it's not a fag burned old sofa in a 60's brutalist flat block in Kilburn.

  • Believe he took significant (c. £750k) director's loan from his company and doesn't have the means to pay it back.

  • I'd be more willing to place a bet on Sunak winning the election than Vingegard winning the Tour.

  • Moscon is going to beat him into fourth place.

  • Literally!

  • Anna van der Breggen is to return to racing for SD-Worx next season, having retired at the end of 2021.

  • I wouldn't be overly confident about that. Apparently he looks back to himself in training. It's a 3 week tour with a lot of climbing in the final week and Pogacar has a Grand Tour in his legs, albeit he appeared to be in cruise control. Vingegaard can quietly ride himself into form.

This presumes a two horse race, nobody told Evenepoel that, I believe he will get stronger than he was in Switzerland. Roglic is a Grand Tour multiple winner and not just a dominant rider in one week tours, he shouldn't be written off. This doesn't even begin to consider the multiple wild cards.

It probably will be a two horse race, a fully recovered Vingegaard will be fresher but with questionable form.

  • When do we start thinking world championships

  • Have you seen the stages in the first week? There’s no time to ‘ride yourself into form’.

  • I’ve watched very little racing this year,
    Where’s the each way money…?
