Sweet. Bars need tilting up though

Ta, I 100% agree. But they are being swapped over anyway.

I like that old standert. Crosstop lever maybe ?
those bars feel great amd are stiff, but have a looong reach, if i remember from using them on a caad12 for a while. -

Fank you.
I know what you mean, I’ve got them on my Pre Cursa at the moment, so nice. But yes I may need a shorter stem.
As for cross tops? Get behind me satan

While looking for a set of cranks I may have (HAVE) bought this on evilbay. They are not even the cranks I was after. Just what I need another fixed gear bike.

Thank you for the kind works.
I’m off to pick it up in the morning.
I was looking for some Silver Omniums, but saw that ridiculous wheel and was sold. The geo looks ok as well, it’s a med.

Thaht's nice, dropouts and rear triangle are the exact same as the eastway esaki i had. front end too, it's probably the same stuff.

-
• #287
Yes yes it is the same frame (V2)!
I now have zero money for silver omniums :( but I will tap you up as and when :) -

It’s in the car and on its way home. Looks in as new condition. Apparently the chap bought it changed the wheels over. Did one TT and hated it so parked it up. There are also some tools and couple of different cogs. NICE!

Played around with the seat heigh etc and went for a spin. Ridiculous wheels make a ridiculous noise. 23mm tubular tyres are surprisingly comfortable. And it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be getting up the hill on 48x14. Would ride again.

So this happened on Saturday.
I went to pick up my ‘permanent loan’ Cargo bike. The ride home involved hauling the Brompton and a 15% climb. I’m not going to lie, it was quite the workout. With Liz’s encouragement, safe on her eDutch bike, I made it. I’ve done a couple of little things to it. Like fit a bottle cage and a tether point for Dolly’s harness and we have been for a spin. A very short 1 mile spin, but she didn’t try to jump out and was rewarded with a few treats. I’m calling that a win.

So far I’ve swapped out the old bars and stem for a more modern(?) set up.
Goodbye 80mm stem and 610mm flat bars, Hello👋🏽 50mm stem and 820mm riser bars. Also changed the grips from the chewed ones to some not so chewed ones. Also on with some SPDs although I think I’ll revert to flats when I find some nice (for nice read cheap) ones. Oh I also rerouted the cables.
Need to play with psi in the tyres as they are bouncy and not in a good way. But it’s fun!

Was that the cooker on FB marketplace? I had been considering that myself!
-
• #298
Oh yes, I’ve been after one for ages
-
• #299
I rode the Cooker into town today, on the way I had a play in the woods and cleared a set of 3 steps, go me. I can hear the ER team firing up the X-ray machine as I type, but that’s for another day.

As I’ve got the Cooker, the Sequoia doesn’t need to be woods ready anymore. So the flat bars are gone and the swept back Molly Mawks make a reappearance. The MonsterShopper™️ returns. A very chilled cruise into work this morning.

I took this out of its yearly airing this afternoon. I think I’ll get some black prince pads and fit a brake. It’s far too nice to leave sat on the rollers and I’m too old for this brakeless crap anymore.
I think these bars will work. I’m watching the @Glws AC-3 thread to see which levers I should use ;)
