Does anyone have a dynamo light they are looking to sell on? Would be for something around £50 mark.
Also whilst I'm here, what's the best way to connect to a dynamo to a wald basket?

Nitto sell nice brackets which fit.

I often use whatever I have on hand (disc brake mount, piece of chainring, bit of metal with two holes in) mounted to the Wald legs.

I am sure this will have been asked so many times so excuse my laziness.
How can I connect the following up?
Son dynamo
Exposure Revo front light(I would probably want usb charger at some point)
Will this work?

Are you running a SON front light? Just make sure the voltages match up if so, I think exposure rear lights rely on a beefy capacitor in the exposure front lights to run so you may end up damaging something.
-
• #4883
No. Just re read what I wrote
It's an exposure Revo front light and red-eye rear light -

What is the ideal to connect the following up?
Son dynamo
revo exposure rear lightWas somewhat unclear hence the question. Punctuation makes for easier reading for sure especially when asking a question for which you want an accurate answer

I use a SON hub with Revo front and red eye rear, plus some wave revolution. The only special thing I needed was a pair of piggyback spade connectors to clip onto the hub.

Agreed. Just edited it so it's clearer.
Thank you -
• #4887
Have you got a picture? Are the piggyback spade connecters waterproofed?

ok not even heatshrink really. the cabling splits above the fork, and the sinewave is in my framebag on banana connectors so i can switch it between bikes

Thank you. Similar to what I had planned. Do you have a sinewave as a separate wire to the hub - looks like that from the picture

Is there a benefit to piggybacking the charger cable as opposed to installing junction box?
-
• #4892
I think perceived wisdom is thst unless you’re going faster than most of us go on a bike you’ll not be able to generate enough (wattage/amperage) to power both lights and charge a device or battery at the same time. Hence the junction box to allow for one or the other without having to manually plug and unplug.
I’ve used very simple three pole switches from Amazon/eBay and a plastic housing for the same effect for pennies, if you don’t mind chopping and soldering some wires.

I thought about running a junction box then to a power bank then to devices, that way it’ll use minimal power if I need the light on, or pass thru charge the bank when lights not on

Yeah the piggyback spade connectors are a lot cheaper

If you have nothing plugged into the Sinewave Revolution (or cable connected to it) the light runs at full power. I just attached and detach a battery pack

I’m looking at a supernova GoPro adapter, probably 40mm, to mount my E3 triple under head unit.
Anyone have a pic of there’s mounted in this way. -

Is there a tall and long fork crown mount that might help the upside-down Edelux sit over the tyre? No front rack, handlebars are busy with a bag, only two mid-fork mounts and the crown. I don't like the mid-fork mounts because the bumpy road forces would seem to unwind the bolt, and I'd be getting a lot of tyre in front of the beam.

Rennsthal has a long support. Looks like a variation of a Supernova light mount. Not sure they detail it.

There's a longer Busch and Muller bracket that I used, because my fork didn't have a mount in the front of the fork crown but below it. I had to piggyback on one long bolt for my mudguards, light mount and a small P-clip to hold some dynamo wire so it didn't hang loose.
I'll try and find some before and after pictures of when I used the shorter vs the longer mount for comparison! But between then, here's the link: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/lighting-spares/busch-muller-light-bracket-for-lumotec-oval-iq-fly-long/
And here's the bike as it looks now, in the interim.

I specifically ordered extra when I last bought some for this reason... I just don't know where they are now. It was 2016, mind.

Not sure why it has a grey lid vs. the SP all black.
