"I'm staying!"
thunders Sunak:

Farage has also been criticised for claiming Sunak’s early exit
demonstrated the prime minister did not understand “our culture”.Asked if he was trying to highlight Sunak’s British-Asian background,
Farage pointed to the contribution made by Commonwealth troops and
suggested he was talking about the prime minister’s “class” and
“privilege”. -

I don’t want to be a pedant, really, but there are somewhere between 40-60k deaths a month in the uk. (From a Quick Look at the ons) (I didn’t look at the age/couldn’t find it)
Are we really saying 50% of them are Tories?
-
• #1105
Or is it some sort of “of the people who are dying they would have the voting intention etc etc”
-
• #1106
Of the ones who died for age related reasons, probably an even higher percentage.
-
• #1107
There’s another ”fact”, 2% of electoral base die per month and 70% of them are conservative

I thought the Tories' problems would lead to a lurch to the centre. One Nation stuff. But they're going further to the right, with fascists like Farage and Tice in control. Those cunts are supposed to be consigned to history. What's happening?
-

Well he's done for.
Whenever they start showing support for someone, the last decade of Tories has shown us that this is when all the knives are out in private.

All the centrists that voted for cameron in 2010 would be doing uturns after spending the last fees weeks saying a change is needed and the tories need to go?
-
• #1111
“These” Tories.
They didn’t specify.

Sunak has still been campaigning for the last two days, in “safe” seats. But refusing to talk to any media, but he’s still managed to give us that cringe moment of laughing that the GP.

Chris Philp is on Sky, and yet again the first question involves him
having to defend Rishi Sunak over the D-Day vanishing act and when
Sunak will speak to the media again. This is all very difficult for
the Conservatives to move on from. It's currently a bit of a death
spiral. -

Manifestos due this week

I imagine they're going to parachute in a load of candidates who will turn out to have some horrendous social media histories.
Quite
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjmmrwexv4koA Reform UK candidate claimed the country would be "far better" if it had "taken Hitler up on his offer of neutrality" instead of fighting the Nazis in World War Two. Ian Gribbin, the party's candidate in Bexhill and Battle, also wrote online that women were the "sponging gender" and should be "deprived of health care".

So is it true the LibDems say they will take UK back into E.U single market?
Source was twitter so who knows how reliable that is.

Easy to make promises you will never be called on to fulfil, and also a good way to scoop up remain/sane votes when the contest is not close between the two main parties.
-
• #1124
I thought they'd dropped talking about this for now.

It’s the one policy that would get me to consider reading the rest of their manifesto but I live in a constituency that is one of the safest labour seats with a good MP.
Farage might secure the Scottish independence vote however so every cloud.
