I had one for a while. Very comfortable, smooth, but ultimately quite dull to drive in comparison to the tuned MK4 Spitfire it replaced. Your Renault must be light years ahead in performance.
Don't love the blue either but think it has potential to be a more fun/original project.

Cambelt service complete and it's all back together. Done 60 miles since and all seems well. My hands are in pieces after this.
I think I'm going to sell and a) Pick up an MGB GT and make it a period racer looking thing b) Swap for a Titanium Silver 182 c) something else
I just can't get on board with the blue.
