It was highly predictable that taking the City dollar has ruined his career. Imagine him playing in Emery's Villa team this season, he would have played every game, probably scored 18 or 20 goals and guaranteed seat on the plan to Germany. Instead he spent all season sitting on the bench counting his petrodollars.

Probably would have meant he’d have saved Toxic Stevie’s managerial career and escaping, just, relegation rather than the funds fuelling the Emery rebirth of The Mighty Villa.
