    yes it's big - that's the whole point of it
    haven't noticed the blind spots being worse than eg the mondeo or passat which i've had
    DSG is great - would not go back to manual
    Adaptive cruise control is great - wouldn't have a car without it now
    Seat is fully adjustable and better than mondeo / passat imo
    Sound system is no worse than others i've had; it's what you would expect from a OEM system in a mid range car

    i guess it depends what you are coming from - i've had Peugeot 406, Subaru, Mondeo, Passat in the last 20 years. Obviously it doesn't handle as well as an Outback but it's quick, drives well, comfortable, great for long journeys with lots of people / luggage.

  • Thanks for that, I'll take both views and test drive it. Nothing will match the rough road handling of the outback and the weight distribution but Subaru just haven't developed their engines enough, a new outback would have basically the same engine as 20 years ago.
