Definitely do get a variety of opinions. I think we had bad luck with the airbag ECU dying but otherwise the other maintenance seems standard. And look for high spec if you can. The adaptive cruise control and steering headlights are great plus the B&O stereo is pretty great for a car system.

I have a few to look at locally. I just need to make the big decision that it's time for a change - hard to get my mind around the reasoning that what I want is out of my price range. Also, the worry of getting a new car and it getting damaged. I had two close calls yesterday - neither my fault and both at slowish speeds but I wasn't overly worried about damage to my current A6. Different story with a new car. First World Problem?
