  • Possibly a nod to it as it’s a bit of an outlier in the GS range but the case and dial are fantastic. Very jealous!

  • Bond vibes today ……

  • Does it sit high off the wrist? I think I saw that one too, was it chrono24?

  • The minute track and second hand are orangey red and the dial text red. Batteries last up to 5 years and you get a 2 second tick warning when it's running out. Service intervals are 10 years. No micro adjust on the clasp which every GS owner moans about but apparently they are working on one so hopefully that'll be able to fit they're existing oyster bracelets rather than only available on new models.

  • It probably was the one on C24 last week. It doesn't sit high on the wrist like the similar looking cases on the Zenith chrono rivivals as the L2L is only 46mm so quite compact and sits in nicely. The angle and polish on the sides of the bezel add visual height but it's under 12 mm so not super slim but not tall either

  • I’m not a big bond guy, but the lollipop second hand is a great addition I think. I thought the bond ones had a 0 instead of pip on the bezel though?

  • It's not the actual limited edition , but the second generation of that came with the step dial and a lollipop second hand, and the divers bezel rather than the 0 to 12 bezel.

  • Never understood why they don't make it in 38mm.

  • Beautiful watch. Gotta start saving it looks like.

  • If you haven't already seen it the SBGV245 in Grey is a little less sporty looking. If one of these had been available at the same time as mine I would have found it very difficult choose between the two.

  • My “shom” that I was after never
materialised so thinking about what to get instead as promised myself a treat second half of this year.
That seamaster 300 is one possibility as is the blue Aqua Terra I posted a pic of Friday.
Am also seriously looking at the No Time To Die titanium Seamaster…..

  • Out for a walk in the sun with the family, happy Sunday everyone.

  • I really like the SBGX343. Would be cool if there was one in Berlin to take a look at but I don't think there are.

  • What about the blue Bond Seamaster in steel ? 60th anniversary edition or something like this ?

    The NTTD is gorgeous tough..

If I treat myself this year it had to be with a 16610LV, I’m looking at them for so long now..

  • Not a fan of the blue 60th , but to be fair I haven’t seen one in the flesh yet as we still haven’t received one.

  • It doesn't look like the 341 and 343 were ever available in EU. Berlin must have a GS stockist with one of the other models that uses the same case. Would it be worth that for a try on and take a punt on a black one? You know what it'll look like. It's not like a Shunbun or something which you really need to see to decide what colour it actually is and whether you like it or not.

  • They weren’t ever officially sold in the UK or Europe but GS boutiques (not ADs) sometimes carry them and can supply them on request if they are still a current model.

Last time I was at the London boutique I spotted a watch I’d never seen before (see below) and it turned out it was a US exclusive - “oh yes, we can get them in” - which gives you a sense of how seriously they take exclusivity when there’s a chance of selling a few more watches.

  • What is the dial material? Similar pattern to the Ginza

  • Google says inspired by Nambu Tekki iron tea kettles. Here's a close up it's beautiful

  • Yeah, what @Retro_Bastard said. You're right though, when they make a Ginza limited edition they often use a tile pattern to reference the tiled floor of the streets around the Ginza studio/boutique. That's what I assumed it was when I saw it.

  • I don't really understand why, but these are so much less revolting than a two-tone Daytona.
