..after only digitally printing stuff the last couple of years I now tried a local lab that does prints on actual photo paper - Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper Supreme HD to be precise - do any of you happen to be familiar with this one and can tell me how to set up a suitable softproof in photoshop for this?
Struggling to get the colours / saturation right, and frankly the people working at the front desk of that shop don't really know what I'm talking about 😅 -

Picked all these up from a local auction place this week. OM1, 2n and 10, couple Prakticas, a Zorki 4 and Fed 2 rangefinders and a Kodak Retinnette.
I think we will end up selling all the OMs on but will film test then first so have batteries on the way. If any of them are really nice to use we may keep them.
I’d been thinking about getting a film rangefinder to go with my digital Leica so I’m going to keep the Zorki 4. Think I’ll prefer it to the Fed and it seems a bit cleaner and tighter.
I might add a little shoe mounted light meter (TTartisan or Reflx or an old selenium type one) or maybe just try and get used to sunny 16.
Cut the back off the never ready case the Zorki came with so I can put a strap on it.

This and the yellow van are both very good imo, can really start to see a series coming together.👌

@YeahNerdz - the T4 is another one I really do regret selling 😐
..also I never really "got" XP2 back then to be honest - but now realize it's so good for smooth gradients like in your last Porsche image, it's kinda rough and classy at the same time, will get another roll this summer and have another go at it.. -

I sold mine after I got it as Part X, whilst good lens the viewfinder is crap and didn't get on with. Similar to when I had an MJUii I much prefer the Original MJU.
XP2, mine in this case was expired but is certainly a film I dont mind shooting. Is the c41 convenience for me that makes it.

It seems like the silver foil around those Lomography films does offer some protection. This is another film I brought back from the US that went through an x-ray but wasn't damaged.
That being said. I am just returning from a round trip to Vienna, London, Boston and back and managed to get my films hand-checked at every airport.Vienna - LomoChrome Color ’92 shot on a Rollei 35

I’ve been enjoying using the Zorki I posted a little bit up thread but was up seeing my parent’s the other day and my dad has just bought himself a Leica IIIf, it’s hard to quantify but it feels so much more refined than the Zorki. I started looking around and never thought I’d buy a camera off Facebook marketplace but listed at £100 this was too good to go past.
It’s cosmetically pretty poor and the slow shutter speeds don’t work but some new leather will go a long way to improving it I think.
I was happy with how the camera felt so was all for paying the full £100 asking price but the seller pretty much talked me into haggling so ended up getting it for £80!
Going to blast a film through it and see how it comes out.

..yea, now that you mention it - out of all the compacts I had it was indeed these two that had the worst finders. The Mju II especially - though I always thought of it as being a tradeoff considering the whole thing is really compact / pocketable.
With the T4 I did live with it because it offered a fucking good lens in a very compact camera, I think it was the best of any of the point and shoots I owned, next to the L35AF. -

Never had the opportunity to use a L35AF yet. I cut my collection right down to a Leica CL and an Olympus XA for analogue.

They are cool but I dunno, the guy I bought it from was talking about getting things rechromed and that but I think the brassing is it’s like, it’s story?
My digital M is brassed a bit too.
There’s an M4 on eBay just now that’s been artificially aged, this is all natural so I think it’d be a shame to eradicate it.

I can’t get the battery cover off on my Contax G1, it just spins forever. Anyone else had this? Any tips to get the fucker off?
