I think all sunglasses - no matter how cheap - are UV blocking. It's a natural property of polycarbonate lens. The no UV thing is to do with older glasses that were made of cheap glass, which isnt naturally UV resistant.
I've been using dirt cheap alix glasses for years. So nice not needing to worry about scratching lenses or the kids nicking them. Only issues have been with bigger cycling oakly knock-offs with interchangeable lenses where the lens switching system just didnt work.
I generally go with polarised glasses from alix, my rational being that you can easily verify that they are polarised, and if they have gone to the effort of polarising then they won't have skimped on the UV protection. Also some reviews with photos just to double check.
I actually went back and bought a few more pairs of the same set that I really liked.
