No but I've got an SBGN019 which has the same case and bracelet so I know how it'll feel. I just love the clean white dial on this one

I know I paid about £250 for my complete teardown and rebuild with progress pics and all - but that's clearly at the top end of the scale, and the watch I sent was absolutely battered, not even running. I'm sure a basic clean lube and service is much cheaper. There are definitely a few recommendations in this thread so well worth a search.

I don't suppose anyone has a Seiko 7N42-8260 (or similar) knocking around they fancy selling me?
I'm after a very cheap beater quartz/10atm field watch. -
• #77635
Not the exact model, but similar.
There's a scuff to the glass at the top so I'd let this go for not much.

Ah, thanks but im after a quartz. I did have one of those and do regret selling it! Is that a green or black face? Hard to tell from the photo.
-
• #77637
This one's the green face. Doesn't look like Seiko have many cheap 5s for sale any more!
-
• #77638
Yeah, they’re a lot more expensive than when I bought mine. I think it was about £80!
Ive also realise I’ve made what should be a simple task that little bit harder, by deciding I want a JDM-only, discontinued model… 🙄

I'm an occasional participant here, so need to ask the dumb questions. Is it accepted for people to post watches for sale?
-

Also automatic, and not the model you're after, but I have a Seiko 5 Sport for sale:

Anyone recommend a place to sell a watch, looks like I have over stretched myself with holidays etc so looking at off loading some things one being the SeaQ.
Seeing if selling to an online shop would be worth a look, or trading it in somewhere maybe, but never done this and wondering where?
Also if anyone here might be interested -

I've not used them personally but Subdial seem well reviewed here and in general. Kibble watches may be worth a look aswell as you'll need at least two prices I guess.
-
• #77644
Yeah was going to suggest Kibble.

I have had good experience with Subdial

Have tried Subdial, see what they say. Also on another forum and will see what happens there too

Second rec for WatchGuy that Reek recommended me; sent my watch in and they took it apart and told me it didn't need a service so put a new strap on at my request and sent it back, with very prompt updates the whole time. Got charged for them to open it up and measuring the bpm or whatever it is they do to see if it needs a service (they are up front about this), but it was good for me to know the watch can still keep going a while without a service so that was worth something to me.

So I have three watches I am looking to sell.
A Seiko Ginza Alpinist - £1,000 (Very good condition, bracelet unworn)
An IWC Ingenieur Automatic - £2,500 (Good to fair condition - it was my daily for a while)
An Orient Classic - £140 (Virtually box fresh)
I don't really want to mess around with eBay, so I am open to offers. I am looking to sell so that I can fund another hobby.
I am not sure on pricing so if I am over the top, and you are interested please show me a reference and I can move.
