Any recommendations on a decent, not too pricey film I can take away with me?
Kodak Portra 400.
Yes, it's rather pricey, but it's worth it in my opinion (and given what you pay for developing / scans / prints it doesn't really matter whether the roll of film is a couple bucks more).
It's a very versatile film (can handle a lot of different situations / exposure doesn't need to be perfect and images will still look great, got amazing colours and is the best for skin tones).
