Different layouts are possible- I know I can get these bags in a small Vauxhall when they are piled on top of each other.
But there’s likely to be other stuff and this arrangement means I can easily get bags out individually rather than pull everything out each time.

Question - should the discs not last until they are 100% worn?
This is 100% wear
But yeah if there is 60% left until the recommended manufacturer limit he's only about half way through. If he's had it from new, then double the current mileage and he's got an easy estimate of when to replace them.

I may put gold wheels on. Silver on gold. I think it'll look good.
What are you some kind of designer? But this is acceptable.

I have a soft spot for those. Thinking about upgrading our Kangoo mk1 for a Caddy this gen with modern bits in. But their value remains high here in Germany. You just see them everywhere!

I don’t know who was recommended (but would like to!) but Timpsons would do it for £180

He has new ones on now. I think 70000 miles on the originals - the ones worn 40%.
I don't like spending money (he is worse than me!) and I would not be keen on spending money on something that wasn't at least 80% worn. -

Gotta say I'm pretty chuffed too, I was having second thoughts but just been out for a night cruise, deserted streets, gave it a little welly (not too much, cuz scruples), feels bloody great.
Safely tucked up in the car port for the night, one of the conditions of the insurance, has to be off street and under cover!

The easy to take out is a good point. Way I always had to pack bikes in cars meant loads of swearing and bending so a quick in between ride was impossible.
I vote for caddy. Or the really cool slightly bigger Opel combo and whatever it's called from other brands. -

Woo! Congrats. Re. Spongy brakes - get a full brake fluid flush and investigate braided lines. Cheap and easy. There's a good company in Brisbane that makes lines for everything. HEL performance.
https://au.helperformance.com/And gold STi wheels would look great. Or stance it on a set of te37's

There could still be an element of what you mentioned in the front end, but I'm currently happy with the mechanic's diagnosis of "everything is sound".
My mate had issues with his BMW brakes and took it to a BMW dealer yesterday to have new discs and pads fitted. The fix worked but, the BMW garage told him there was 40% wear to the discs.
Question - should the discs not last until they are 100% worn?
