Sram s500 or cane creek SCR ?
Having used all three, TRP RRL's are where it's at. Carbon levers if you're fancy.
-
• #53
trp rrl are probably the objective best but aesthetic and hh snobbery rules them out
-
• #54
They remind me of the ergo (?) bars where the drop curve contains geometric angles. just because something is comfortable doesn't make it right
-
• #55
ahh Im glad you got these

The carbon Campagnolo ones (subbed)

That was a curt but dense comment, When campagnolo comes crashing, basically.
what model ? which era of motorsports-type graphics are we talking about ?

I'm thinking that the naming AC3 might be an acronym for "Aluminum Coca Cola Can"

Awesome! Better pictures of the paint plz :)
-

I'll try but there isn't paint to take a picture of... merely a digitalised impression of paint, angel du$t, pure VAT

back to business :
the lever options at our disposal are as follows - since the crankset will now be silver sug chainring on black gloss sug - i see no reason to not use other silver touches on the build :
the latest meaning a fork swap to an enve Qr post mount fork, channeling the hdij spirit and summoning user:hollow__legs successful (i find) experiment.

Anything but the cane creek. The hoods position is unusably uncomfortable
-
• #66
has to be the shimano, the other two are vile
-
• #67
I have a pair of SCR5s they are indeed awful on the hoods, but the levers are super comfortable. On balance I would swerve. It’s the shims for me.

Don't go for the Cane creek or Tektro levers
-

The Record ones. Little bit surprised about the price.
-

Damn, I should sell my set of Record brake levers.
Get some fucked 11spd campy brifters and gut them, best hood shape by far.

Noice 👌🏻 I’ve owned an original MASH and a Bolt and they were both great fun. I regret selling the original one when I moved out of the Big Smoke to Auld Reekie.
I’d go all black components on this with black cranks and silver chainring. Have you considered the carbon TRP levers? You can often get matching rim brakes on eBay for a good price if you like to matchey-matchey.

hear hear.
lots of good opinions [appreciate] and i concur, the cane creek shape is unbearable, even if they look good and the springy left lever does not need any cable bodge.
Well aware of the ultegra di2 option but the hype has been there and inflated the price.
I'll definilty be watching some campag 11 lever auctions to modify as it seems in line with the project.
Trps are nice but ugly and too old school for a mash, i feel.
The r785 hydro ultegra would be the option if disc fork (likely) as they are sooo comfy and would annoy the r8070 crew.
I think that's it !
Now spokes. so far i have silver 50t chainring, the front caliper will be 105 silver/grey.
i don't think black j-bend hubs work at all with silver spokes, do they ?
