Yeah gutted about Conrad. Proper sound of my early teens in to 20s and beyond.

Conrad was another MC that came out of Aylesbury along with Caveman and Silver Bullet, loads of pissed up sessions with him all day Saturdays in Muswells Stella £1 a pint. Fuck.

The music of chance is one of those films that has stuck in my head for some reason, RIP

I remember Labrynth from the early 90s rave scene, but I admit I knew nothing about the club’s history, that it had such cultural significance or edit: that the building is now gone the story behind the demise of the building. I’m slightly too young to have gone there during the early 90s. Slightly ironic is I didn’t know where the old building was or what it looked like, but I have been in the new building (when it must have only just been built) without realising what was there before.

The club was probably the scuzziest legal venue I ever stepped foot in but it had a great vibe, I never saw any trouble - reggae or house. It seemed to avoid the moody drug gangs that partied up the road at Clapton Pond.

In its old form it would never have passed a fire risk assessment today, but it was a valuable community asset and its loss was very sad.

Wow, what a story. I was too young to have gone or experienced the place. Until this post I’d never heard of it.

So many clubs become flats.

Giz a job is still spoken around here.

BFTBS was pretty poignant in my teen years, giving me a pretty deep understanding of what the place I came from and places like it suffered.

Giz a job although poignant and funny really took away from the deep meaning.
