Must be some feeling being a dev, especially a solo dev (!), watching the clock on a release date after a butt load of effort and once the hour hits, watching the sales trajectory.

I've fucked my town already and run out of wood. I thought I had tons but it was firewood not construction wood. Feel it prob needs an option for a tutorial for likeminded idiots.

The simplest thing but I love zooming out all the way to region view and my town (village) being reflected on the drawn map.
Have done a peaceful and a combat play around - feels like still some imbalance in the combat mode - lots of claims coming in very quickly, by the time I’ve raised a single unit, the AI has whole armys, just getting crushed. Definitely some bugs to fix, but it’s fun, and at single speed can play it in the background while doing other stuff which is relaxing.

Yeah that's a nice touch. I've just lost my first villager. A brigand camp set up right by my meat source so my villagers were too afraid to hunt and started starving. It was winter so no berries. Raised a militia with some spears and had a little battle in the woods. Just 1 unit vs 1 unit. Kept all 20 of mine alive until the last second where I lost one. Thankfully I had a church so saw some gravediggers carrying his body away. Sad times.

Yeah the AI armies are hugely OP. I claimed my first territory with 3 x 36 man units and a couple of mercenary units, and came up against 12 fully leveled up ones. Got fucking slapped. Loving it though.
Its definitely more demanding on the system than I thought it would be. It's running great however.

Gotta get on that vegetable garden life!

Made it through the first winter without overextending, made a fletcher in one of my level 2 houses, suddenly found myself with a fuckload of warbows and 200 villagers to use them. Shat on 3 bandit camps from afar (with spear line to protect them). Now I'm about to use my influence and try to take on another region. Got sheep in pastures, fertile farmland filled on rotation, huge orchards.
Think when this game is fully featured and tidied up it's gonna be special.

How does one play xbox games on the steamdeck? and can it be done offline? Ive just bought CP2077 and dont want to buy it again. Ill happily do it for Dying Light, but as there are a few games id like to play that i already own, seems senseless waste of money.

Find I'm struggling a bit now - am at large village status but can't make the jump to small city.
Am in the middle mode (so without the aggressive baron) while I learn which helps things.
Cashflow is getting clogged so I've been using my upgraded retinue to smash bandit camps for 150-200 gold, then using that to open trade routes (have got the 25g trade route cap perk) but still find I'm not making a lot from what I'm selling so don't have enough food types to upgrade to level 3 burgs.
Have used my bandit bashing influence to claim all but the last region. No buildings in any of the others yet. Not quite sure how to get the Pack Station functioning to transport supplies between friendly regions. I also think I've probably gone about farming wrong. I did a test and multiple smaller fields are much easier to work than one big one depending how many spare workers there are.
Have a ton of work this week so requiring some serious restraint to not just play all the time and figure this shit out.

So I've signed up to play an IRL tekken 8 tournament on Sunday and I haven't touched the game in about 3 weeks, not that I was particularly good before either. My mate who I've roped in is going to spending evenings here to practice. It's a double elimination event so you have to lose twice then you're out, really hope I can get a win.

Focus on shortest supply chains. Veg/Berries/Meat/Eggs for food. Goats/leather/shoes for clothing.
Grow or import barley for ale. 1 morgen at 30-40%fert has been giving me more than enough yield as long as my logistics are keeping things flowing. -

How did you get the sheep? I've built pastures, but have no sheep.
I've managed to claim one other parcel of land, but can't build a camp until i have 250 wealth, which I can't seem to get to.

Yeah, took me a while - you need a sheep farm first, not a farm house as I discovered. A sheep farm also counts as a pasture for 5 sheep.
Then you need the sheep themselves and I got them through the livestock trading post. You need to set your target quota of sheep on the right hand column. Then you need a family assigned there to bring them in. They can bring in a max of one per month so it takes a while.
Made an omlette...
Still 1.5 hours. Might make another 3 consecutively.
