This new law will be challenged in court, that is the only glimmer of hope at the moment.
What a shameful day for this country. Performative cruelty pandering to, I hope, a small segment of the population where we pick on the most vulnerable people in society. Sunak should be coruscated for this, for eternity.

I'd be massively surprised if any commercial airline will get involved in any of this. it wouldn't be the first time the tories have lied about this stuff. The RAF have already said they don't have a secure enough airfield and wanted £20 mill to do the required upgrades required.
I still think there strategy is to hope the left judges block it and they can play the victim, enemies of the people etc.
