  • I love the bracelet with that model, it go nicely with the dials and the removed crown guard.

  • It’s pretty much perfect. You could mod it with lumed markers if you wanted.

  • Cheers. A new one with radio time and BT would be nice. But as I've just replaced the battery there's no need.

  • Friday = Ti-day
    G Shock Frogman 35th anniversary.

  • Not a G
But is the watch I covet the most...

  • Still enjoying the Willard this week.

  • And i would love a G. But i'm afraid of their size. So used to these small watches by now.

  • Any interest in this? Hodinkee Sistem51 limited edition in green. Sold without box. These seem mildly collectible online (or at least are listed above their original sale price). This one has seen some wear, with mild scratching to the glass. £80 a fair price to the forum?

  • Analogue G-Shock is not a G-Shock. #changemymind

  • You said it yourself.

  • Analogue G-Shock is not a G-Shock. #changemymind

I certainly agree with that, and I want to add..
G-Shock is not a watch, just an indicator of time, like the numbers on a laptop screen.
It has no essence of craftsmanship, no soul, no value outside it's function - as Horolo-gits (sp) we should burn them all. #changemymind

  • something odd and audacious before the big guns come in

  • "All the gear, and no idea" This technological marvel is utterly illegible and more top-heavy than a 1950's glamour model. But it's unusual, and I like it.

  • I admire Japanese commitment to their thing. It may not be for everyone, but it's an achievement. Citizen is immensely capable. The above watch would make an excellent stopwatch if you took it off and held it. School sports day accessory. Or bolted to the dashboard of a rally car.

  • I’d sooner burn that Citizen tbh

  • ...and yet it is socially ranked alongside the most coveted tier of time keeping Tudor, AP, Rolex, Omega and PP.

  • it's time to say good morning

  • Surely it represents the horological spirit better than most other modern watch brands chucking in a green or white dial.

The whole brand is born of a single and revolutionary design goal which informs every watch. They definitely have a soul.

I'll admit they need to have a refinement session on how the world time feature works. But overall there's a reason why you'll see them with their own threads in all watch forums.
