Yes! How are they harder than a plastic bag to carry? My life doesn't make sense.

Strap length and torsional rigidity.

I genuinely do not understand the strap length. Either long or short. Why choose a new inbetween length?

I always used to tie knots in them to shorten the strap. Now I just use an existing plastic bag or one of those mini fold up plastic bags.
